Anyone know where I can get a gas spring for my 2003 Nautique? The dimensions are 7 1/2 extended and 5 inches closed. This goes on my glove box.

send this guy a message: strut-your-stuff@clearwire.net

I bought a 30lb unit from him and it works better than the stock 20lb unit.

or you can swing by your local Napa parts store, the 20lb NAPA Part # 819-5620, they also sell a 30lb unit

Thanks bringing this up. Replacing my deflated shock is a priority for next season too.

Without a fresh shock, that damn glove box (lid and all) is like Jaws. It can nearly bite an arm off.

That's why I'm replacing mine. It bit my wife's finger.

^^^ I've ordered from them several times so far and they have yet to let me down. PlanetNautique members also get a discount.

Word of caution, I upgraded to a high psi spring and it stressed the mounting brackets.
