Threw some backrolls this past weekend any advice would be appreciated...seems close and just want a game plan and some things to think about next time instead of just go out and hope.

This time was trying to not throw it too early and to keep handle in close as those were two problems last time.

Thanks!
Norm

okay norm you are rushing this trick as well as hucking it instead of letting it happen.you don't want your pop with mostly legs you want it with powerful edge so you can control line tension and speed of rotation.you should be standing tall at the wake leaned back about 20*. you also want to stand tall all the way through the wake trying to get height. you point your face in line with your lead shoulder and look up towards the sky to start rotation. keep handle on lead hip.to slow rotation let your arms out. to speed up roatation pull your arms in and ball up to a squating position.this should help you with any necessary adjustments. good luck.

This is a progressive edge trick. Start with a shorter approach and try to edge through the top of the wake(more pop, less speed=less line tension/easier landing). Keep the handle centered and your elbows touching your vest on your approach--as you come around and spot your landing, you will be able to slow the rotation by letting the handle out or speed it up by pulling. You might focus landing the trick with both hands on the handle. Good luck!

Make sure you are fully committed! You pretty much landed that trick, it looks like about 90% of the way through you got scared and let go. Hold on to the rope until the water makes you let go. Also follow the tips above. Good luck.

Slow it down to 21 and move your line in 5-7 feet. You will get a meatier rampier wake and not take such a beating. The slower speed will help you get your edge deeper and carve through the trick. You need to get your edge at is hardest right at the lip of the wake. I also have my arms a little more extended out on a BR. You need the line tension to pull you back to land.
