1999 x-star

what is everyone's thoughts on this boat.

my boat and this boat are in about the same condition I have been offered a trade should I go for it or stick with what I have?
my boat is a 1995 hydrodyne grand sport 295 hr.(see profile pic)
the x star has 800 hr

sounds like a pretty good trade to me. Make sure the tower welds are strong.

How many hours are on yours? If they are close, I would think it would be a great trade.

There is a reason he wants to trade you.....

The trade doesn't make sense the other way around unless he's a pro slalom skier.

No kidding. Thats a $20k boat in trade for a $12k boat. Something is up. Have that X-star checked out.

ok here is the deal it is my dealer, and he says the boat is in good condition. I am trying to think of question to ask him about the boat. like were did he get the boat? how many owners? was the boat damaged? things like this what are somethings I should ask him about

Hours? Pics? Any interior problems? Trailer condition? Go look at it & snap a few pics with your cell phone.

Edit: I see in your OP that it has 800 hrs. Thats not even mid-life if the boat has been taken care of. It's worth checking out. Check out the hull & interior. Take it for a water test & see how it runs. Check out the tower. Look for cracks in the glass. Check the oil in the engine & v-drive. Ask if there are any service records.

Is resale a concern? If so, if you buy an 800hr boat, and put a few hundred more on it, you might have a hard time selling it.
