My buddy has a 94 malibu Echelon with the wedge. How are people weighting them so the wake is the best? He has an Acme prop thats made so we can slam that boat. Photos of the wake would be cool too!

I would do a ski locker type sac in the walkway or the "U" bow sac under the seats....

Another ski locker sac in the locker

For the back:
A sac on each side of the engine running parallel with the boat, but pushed all the way back....
or
pop out the back seat and get the fly high fat seat or fat seat bottom.

I would try to get around 1000lbs rear and 500lbs front..... or at least keep the ratio of 2 to 1

The only problem with weight in the back is the back is pretty low to the water. You put alot of weight in the back and it could take on water pretty easy...My old 88 nautique was higher.

^^^ you will have a problem like that on 99% of boats, it just takes practice to drive it so you dont swamp it

When you go from 24 mph to stop just make sure you cut the throttle, then just a little extra gas right before the rooster tail hits the back.

I'm pretty good at not swamping loaded down ski boats. We loaded my 88 ski nautique with almost 2000lbs of weight. The back is really low on the echelon. I am more interested if people are using weight and the wedge.

just the wedge is worthless, the wake is shaped really well but is soooo soft it is worthless.

When I had an echelon we ran tube sack in the ski locker, another side sack in the walk through, one fat sack on each side of the engine box. This seemed to maximize seating while still providing a great wake

The boat is narrow 90" beam so it sinks it pretty good. Never used a wedge and never had any complaints. The sacs on the side of the engine were great back rests for anyone wanting a good view.

Drop me a line I have Fly High Factory seconds and new Fly High sacs as well. I have several sacs that will work in your ski locker and for the rear as well. maxwakemaxfun@gmail.com. www.maxwake.com

Buy an XStar and then put the Echelon in the back of it.

Kyle,

My buddie has a 94 echelon too and this is how weve been waiting it...

800 sack in the walk through
350 on the back seat or if there is a bunch of ppl then we put it where there feet would be.
Add the wedge and we've found it to be just fine.

We found that it can really handle a lot of weight in the nose. Just be careful when you turn around to get your rider cuz weve had a few times we took on a bit of water.
