Is that silver flake? It almost looks like a steel blue. Very nice, enjoy.
Old     (roughrivermike)      Join Date: Apr 2006       11-25-2008, 11:26 AM Reply
Yep, its going to be a long wait, probably the end of march.
Billy, It's not silver flake. My 08 was silver flake. This color is not on the Mastercraft charts!

Very cool looking X Star I actually saw it about 2 weeks ago as I was walking the line at the factory with customers. Everyone was blown away at the custom flake color. I've had several flake boats, I gotta give you credit this is a very beautiful and unique color scheme....have fun with it!!!

How do you get custom color's? Is it just more cash or do you have to know some one?

I guess as the price of health care goes up, so does Mike's salary! Nice boat man.

p.s. not a dig, but droppin' that kind of coin in this economy is quite a luxury. props to ya...

You are going to have to update that profile picture, from one utterly perfect boat to another possibly even better looking boat.

Old     (roughrivermike)      Join Date: Apr 2006       11-25-2008, 2:16 PM Reply
Thanks for the nice comments.

Nick..The answer to your question is it takes a little of both.

Billy..The color is from meadowbrook industries and it is Ice Blue.

Zane, I appreciate the props. I was down at the factory a couple of weeks before that. I was hoping to see some celebs there like yourself, or even better...Will! No such luck though.

Sweet boat Mike! I like the diamond stitched interior, and that Ice Blue flake is sweet! Congrats.

(Like the pic of your "old" ride too.)

good work on the photoshop! I do like it. I can get the mastercraft chromex lettering twice as big which might look good. I am getting my boat numbers in the raised chromex letters.

Wow, beautiful boat!

I vote for a subtle mirror finish X-Star custom graphic. I notice you have the underwater LEDs too.

When I clicked on the link I dreaded seeing another butt ugly ghetto looking wrapped thing that you so often see these days. So nice to see somebody with class and good taste.
Old     (stephan)      Join Date: Nov 2002       12-03-2008, 11:05 PM Reply
Graham, could you tint it with the same dark blue that is above the rubrail? It will either look cool or you will think I'm retarded. I'm just curious as to what it'd look like.

Mike, your boat looks great, saw it setting out front last Saturday. Must have just missed you, Joan thought she saw you. Cooper and I got there a little late. Cool colors

Very pimp. By why wait till spring? Looks better without the X star decal.
Old     (wakecumberland)      Join Date: Oct 2007       12-05-2008, 7:22 AM Reply
Mike, that is the best looking X star I have ever seen! Is it still at Boatworks? I think it may be worth it for me to drive up there and see it.
Old     (bcrider)      Join Date: Apr 2006       12-05-2008, 10:33 AM Reply
If you still want a graphic/decal on the side of the boat see if there is some way of ghosting it on so you barely see it. Or just do an outline with a darker or lighter vinyl that is also flaked.
Old     (roughrivermike)      Join Date: Apr 2006       12-05-2008, 4:11 PM Reply
yep, its still up at boatworks. it will be until spring. I still have to get the stereo hooked up and such. I'm going with 4 pro 80's again, but i'm going to have them painted to match the boat. I also have to change out the interior speaker grills to the ones I have had in my past boats.

what the hell is up with mc's metal flake paint like a 1980 speed boat. rad boat... just hate the paint.

travis you could pick any boat... why that color?
Old     (fbroen)      Join Date: Apr 2002       12-06-2008, 5:09 AM Reply
Congrats on new boat!

What are the outlets(?) next to the exhausts -- Pure Vert on the 09s?

Old     (driving)      Join Date: Jan 2003       12-06-2008, 5:19 AM Reply
That's why I picked the color! I absolutely love that boat. It's not for everybody, but it's fun to get something different each year. Pictures don't do it justice. When you see them in the water they are insane! Mike's is going to look unreal in the water.

Those aren't outlets on the back, they are the led's.

Wow, I'll have to tell my cousin with an older Moomba ski boat that his metalflake color is making a comeback.

Metal flake just has it's own special way of sparkling like no other...

Catch it against the morning or setting sun and it's incredible!
