I have always had the dealer winterize, but this year am thinking about doing it myself

my only issue is the oil change

I have the hammerhead, and from what I've read, the oil change is a major PITA

some posts on the Malibu Crew say that leaving the old oil in all "winter" could be bad for the pan and block

my thought was to winterize but not change the oil
till I hit the 50 hour mark next season

the oil was changed about 25 hours ago

do any of yall think that there is a negative to leaving the old oil in?
.........either through the "winter" (I do the " " cause we don't have a winter like some of yall do)
.....or after start up in the spring?

change the oil
if you leave the old oil in the particulate in the oil will settle in the motor not good
doing the oil change is the easy part
you have a drain line from the bottom of the oil pan clipped to the passenger side block
unclip it run it through the rear drain plug, undo cap nut, and let the oil drain
after running the motor up to temp of course which you have to do anyway to fog the motor
the impeller is the pain in the ass
total time to winterize 30-60 minutes depending on how easy the impeller comes out
have any other question about winterize you're boat drop me a line have the same boat
