How big are the files?

How are you resizing them?

What OS are you using?

I believe the dimensions need to be 1024px or less on the longest side also.

what size are you setting the pictures to? take the original, edit image size to 1024x768. save as (making sure its in .jpeg) and your quality should be right at 3-4...

ps. your camera is taking photos in a high resolution not format. unless you are running an SLR it should go straight to .jpeg if its an SLR it might be raw...

Using photo shop and when you save them it will have a number under the slide bar 1-12 and in needs to be under 150K. Also make sure your saving it as a jpeg file! Pretty easy!

or you can just cut it down to 150 dpi.

Guys your just going to confuse him...
when preping graphics for the web
I usually use 720 x 480 as the target size at 72 dpi
that's a 10"x 6.5" web image
jpg compressed less than 76% starts looking pretty bad.

that file is around 200k which is to big for this site, so you will need to take it even smaller
650 x 433 is under 150k
hope that helps
cheers
Darrin

David,

Here is a free simple tool to resize and compress your images:

http://www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/download-image-resizer.php

I use the settings 800x600 and 75% quality. For most pictures I post on WakeWorld.
