Hey everybody, i need a new rope and handle. I've ruled out carbon handles cuz there dumb and overrated, plus my friend got the catalyst handle so if i get the urge to use carbon hes got that. anyway, Im stuck between the proline lg, accurate murray ARS, and the byerly. Any thoughts. Im interested in the suede type material in the proline. I like the squared off murray handle (does anybody use that...feedback), and i like the simplicity of the byerly (eva or rubber anyone?) thanks for any help and opinions. Also if you have one of these handles and your looking to sell, im your sale. lemme know. thanks

I really like the murray handle.. the square makes it easier on the forarms for some reason with me...

If you need the rope and the handle, dont think you can find a better deal then the LG package.

I'm stuck between the squared off handle on the murray and the suede handle of the lg. I think my best bet is to go to a shop and hold em.

So most everybody is thinking LG over Murray?

The LG is pretty sweet, personally I prefer the shape of the Murray or the Proline Synthesis. My buddy has the Murray and we've used it for about a dozen sets and it has started to split at one of the seams. I have the Synthesis and it is a triangle shape but with the same principle as the Murray, make it easy to hold on without overworking the forearms. The Synthesis is softer than the Murray and after over a year of use is rocking like a champ.

Does the LG handle float? I'ver heard some say that it will get water logged and sink after using it for a while. I was looking at the combo with the black handle and gold rope. Can you see the gold rope in the water good because I would think the black handle would be hard to see.

the LG handle starts to sink a little bit but we havent had too much of a problem. but then again the handle doesnt sit in the water long enough to start to sink too low. it drags across the surface when coming back around. one of the comfiest handles and it is pretty cheap too.

LG all the way. I'm on my second season with my LG still floats and not in bad shape. We put about 200 hrs on our boat last year so the handle has seen the water a lot.

anybody else use the proline LG or the murray handle?

use the proline lg. Love it. It does sink if after it's in the water. I tore strips of foam off a noodle and stuffed it up the handle and now she don't sink no more.

The Helium leather grip is better and it floats! Way better than the LG. The LG starts to turn in your hand after several pulls. It is like the grip comes loose from the bar. The Helium does not do this.
