Not really sure if this is a VW or Cummin diesel engine. Watched one video that said Cummins, so who knows. Anyone know the story behind it?

That is so badass. Personally I think I would rather have a cummins, yanmar, etc.. than a VW but either way that is awesome. Probably burns a lot less fuel than the LY6 or newer bigger engine.

Says by Cummings. 4.2l VW TDI V8 Diesel at 350 bhp. Acceleration looked good and didn't seem any louder.

Accents sound German to me.

Just looked some stuff up and I think a cummins and VW have a business relationship. I guess it could be a VW and a cummins.

Wouldn't be surprising as Detroit Diesel and Diamler are partners or Diamler Benz owns Detroit Diesel now.

Pretty cool but why did that wake look so washed and small? Why didn't they show the motor?

Boat had a new interior as well.
The stock xstar wake is less than impressive and they say it only has stock ballast and it looks unevenly weighted

It's a VW engine, marinized by Cummins.

And I think the video is done by germans. mit is german for with. Thus the title "MasterCraft X-Star mit VW TDI Motor."

Getting a crazy amount of wash over the Starboard side wake. Usual for that boat.

I have a friend in Nor cal that is putting a Duramax in an old single engine X80. Will be interesting to see the results.
