I've had mine for about a 1 1/2 with no problems. It went through a couple of software upgrades that didn't kill it. I have a 30 gb the battery life is a 7-8 hours if you are playing music.

I took my tow vehicle to a shop and had extra leafs added to the rear springs. The rear doesn't sag under tow, and the ride without load was unchanged. I think it cost $200-300.
