Yeah they are! I hadn't been to the bay area for a few years and was out there 2 weeks ago and I think I saw at least 30 Model S's in my 2 days that I was there. Saw colors that I didn't even know...

Detroit hates Tesla from everything I have read too. I just hope that they can build a reliable car on that large of a scale. Small production is a lot easier to put out a quality, reliable product.

Now we have to figure out how to tax electric cars for their road use since that is currently in the price of gas/diesel. I'm guessing that it will cost us more tax dollars to figure out how to tax...

I think this car is what was needed to get America really interested in electric cars. I know that some are on the fence of the real carbon footprint with using electricity from coal fired electric...
