The mid-range on the SXTs is certainly not as powerful as the x9, but it's not bad when properly amped. I was very happy using 4 sxts with a harpoon on my last boat for surf only.

Also, I...

First off, your 100W amp isn't powerful enough to drive either.

If budget is a concern, two sets of SXTs driven...

I"m still running busters w/ lil buddies and digging it.

Busters or monsters w/ standards sounds like way too much of a thigh workout for me to even consider it.

I can't tell you which is best, as I haven't been in all of them.

But my neighbor has a 2012 Tomcat F21. He had a custom 1400 lb bag plumbed in to the locker. His surf wave is amazing.

good...

I spent 5 hours on the lake today going back between Busters v Busters + Lil Buddies on my SS Pro

For me, the Buster + Lil buddies combo wins. The canted/towed fins still allow the rear to break...

I just got a SS Pro. Running it with Busters (10.5cm with 5 deg cant & toe). Lots of fun, very turny. Sometimes I add lil buddies for more drive but definitely requires more work.

I couldn't stand the boat buddy. It was an OEM item and I swapped it for a $30 roller. It never worked right.

Captain Obvious, you get a medal. Your opinion is biased as well.

I'd like to know who these "paid MB" people are - aside from Ian, who runs the site and is forthcoming about his ties, I think...

Last year (from memory) the dealer was asking around 65k for a loaded v226. As memory serves me, that included the bigger motor and just about every upgrade possible. Again, from memory, so take it...

Why care what they have to say...

The fact of the matter, and I think industry is starting to figure this out, is that wakeboarding is a young man's game. Seldom do I see 40+ year old boarding....

Greg,
I agree. Last summer (among other boats) I demo'd the v226 and a Tige rz2. We used an additional 800lbs of ballast in both to help replicate what we'd like to surf.

I was incredibly...

No, but I've heard and see the Antelope vids. We're sold. It's a 12 hour drive from Denver, but will be worth it. Bullfrog is kinda ghetto and we usually head up the San Juan anyway which is a good...

Yah - we've been going out of Bullfrog for a few years, but two of us are looking into driving the extra 3 hours and buying a time share in a boat out of Antelope. I'm tired of hauling all that crap...

Nice pix guys.

WakeDirt,
I recently tried that prop on my MB24 with the 410 engine. It was vastly inferior to the Acme 15x12 for surfing. I surf with over 3500lb of ballast.

We also tried that 15x14 on my...

SS, I wouldn't bother with factory - call Acme directly if it's a prop issue, or wakemakers/wakeprops.com

I repropped my 24 with an Acme 2315 (went up 1" in diameter, down 2" in pitch) - it made a...

Jay,
I agree - unless he's vastly underpropped, something else is wrong. The wakeplate doesn't have nearly that much effect.

I agree with the above reply - with a 80lb weight differential I don't think you'll find one board to make both of you happy.

I haven't tried the Liquid Force.
I own a mucus - it's a good place to start.

If interested, I bought a mucus last year. It has some chips from normal wear & tear but otherwise is in great shape....
