In my '08 VLX, fill all tanks except the opposite surf side and add another sack in the surf side locker and, if lite on people, one on the seat...we run a 500 lbs sacks. Speed wise, we run anywhere...

Not sure whats up dhcomp's arse, but I think that Sunsport top is pretty cool, like Bill K examples, would be a great cold weather boat. Would be nice for shade on a hot day too!

From the lack of replies, I think none has experience with the X-80. Play it safe and go with an Enzo 240 or any other proven 24ft boat(BU, Tige, etc).

Go to your dealer and ask them if they have any tower shipping brackets. It will allow you to drop the tower and still have the cover on...keeps it off the dash too.

Had a '99 Kanga, closed bow version of the outback....good boat, never had any problems with it. I would think an Outback, depending on options and condition, should be in the mid to high teens.

Both are great boats..had to make the same decision this year and picking up my '08 VLX in 2 weeks. <BR> <BR>Drive/demo both and see which one best fits your needs. You'll be happy with either boat.
