I checked out the ATX this year and hope to do a demo at some point. It's very spartan when it comes to appointments or cool-looking vinyl....

As for choosing my feeling is that you figure out what style of board would suit you and then get something that fits from a reputable manufacturer....

Does the Elite V have a C4 hull? If not it will have pockets in the transom that will affect possible upgrades. Either boat will get a decent surf wave when properly ballasted and listed.

Tige doesn't have a deep V, not like Centurion has a deep V anyway. Still, the older Tige's were really good surf boats and did pretty well in rough water.

Depends on price and if the boat passes an inspection by a good mechanic. If a boat is well-maintained it could easily go a couple thousand hours without too many problems.

Whatever you get in this range throw an Infinitywave.net surf system on it and you're good to go. It was prototyped on a Centurion SV230 (deep V) and a Malibu VLX. Works great on almost everything.

Heyday did well at the Wake9 Polar Bear. Some hardcore Centurion guys that went were extremely surprised how well it did. Weird looking boat but it seems to surf really well when set up correctly.
