The board does land softer, but it's still going to land hard in the flats. That could be that I'm riding a slower 3 stage, as compared to the Kine or Newton. I also have a bad knee, but really...

I ride the 2011 Hooke, and haven't had any issues with the fast track system at all. Just like any other company you have to tighten down the screws pretty regular, but have never had something go...

My advice would be to get the 139 between the two, but I'd recommend the 143. I'm 5-7 and riding a 142 cause it feels like the board (135) stops every time I land. Besides bigger boards land ofter.

Having a wider wake is by no means a bad thing, it just allows you to charge it harder and still land soft on the down wake instead of in the trough. I wish I had a wider boat every time I'm behind...
