We use something similar for this to put our plane back in the hanger. You can actually make one pretty simple. It really does come in handy moving trailers, etc. around though.

What makes the surf systems like NSS or Supra's version any different than just mounting surf tabs on the hull? Wouldn't this be a cheaper alternative?

I'd check on craigslist...at least near my like there always seem to be a few there for a good price. If not, I know jetdock and ez-dock make a good one.
