13.5 mpg towing? is your boat smaller than 19ft? i can't imagine getting anywhere near that towing with a 5.3L. My 5.3L z71 gets 8-9 mpg towing my SANTE 230.

i don't think used boat loans are harder than new boat loans. try Bank of the West and see what they can do. they were doing 10% downpayments around 6% a couple of years ago. not sure about today.

every chevy truck i've seen with the 2"inch increase on the front sags when it is towing a boat. mine is factory and is lower in the front and when hooked up to the boat, it is perfectly level.
