sanger v215

hey guys. well im in the market again. This time for a 215. If you or anyone you know is selling one let me know! Trying to find one under 30k with under 200 hrs. Hopefully I can sell my 210 soon so I can get into a 215 before summer! I got some time but want to get my feelers out! Thanks!

zammer 11-12-2013 2:51 PM

IF you are in California your pick will be the best in the country! Lucky..
I'm in Alberta and they are very rare in these parts
I have a new v215 and wow I like it, very nice sized boat and much bigger feel then v210, Sangers are great boats i have had 2 v210's and just got into a V215

heres a good one uder 30 and low hours

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/boa/4178407059.html

Jmorlan 11-12-2013 3:52 PM

I picked up a v215 late in the season.
Only had it out about 5 times, but its an awesome boat!
05 has about 170 hrs on it now

dp513 11-12-2013 7:53 PM

One thing I wont do is blue, green or flames! If I found a white or red one with flames I would survive but probaly have to get it wrapped! I know there out there! Once I get my 210 sold I can really get aggressive with looking but I found my 210 on this site and it has been a perfect first boat for me. But time to move on:D:D:D

Jmorlan 11-12-2013 11:05 PM

Ya the flame thing is kind of a bummer. Mine is white with the silver flames. Not real noticeable.
Ill have it wrapped in the spring. But for the price I paid, I was not going to pass over something that can be wrapped for 1200 bucks!

dp513 12-12-2013 7:30 AM

Well still looking for a 215. Been lowballed like crazy on my 210. Kinda thinking of taking one of the offers. Lose a couple grand to save a couple grand on my next boat is what I'm thinking. What do you guys think. Wait till spring and maybe get another 1500-2000 outta it. Or let it go now.:confused:

BaadLS1 12-13-2013 7:34 AM

Curious to know what you have liked and disliked with your boat. I have been intently watching your craigslist ad over the last two months to see if your price drops at all. I'm very interested in a V210 model years 2002-2005 and what I would expect to pay for one around this time of year. I would be using the boat as a crossover (65/35 ski/wakeboard) but a dd is tough to swallow when my wife insists on a vdrive.

norcalmalibu 12-13-2013 8:05 AM

Danny, id move the price to 19,900 and call it a day and see what bites. Its the wrong time of the year to be selling a boat.

There was a really nice dark blue 215 that just sold for 22k

http://sacramento.craigslist.org/boa/4236529708.html

dp513 12-15-2013 4:51 PM

I absolutely love my boat. I am by no means an awesome wakeboarder or surfer so the wake is plenty big for me! I can ride all day long on 60 bucks weighted down. It looks badass.
Reasons for selling---Would like to get built in ballast. we tend to take quite a few people out. So filling fat sacs with a bunch of people on the boat is not that sweet. I am the only one of my group of friends with a boat so on average were looking at 8-10 people everytime we go out. Id just like a little more wiggle room and storage. I know im not going to get a huge amount more with the 215 but I think its enough to justify the decision to upgrade.

I have never slalom skied behind it but I see quite a bit of people doing it on the delta.

If your interested give me a call BaadLS. Id be more then glad to let you take a look at it and talk with you about it!

Definately the wrong time to sell a boat! I have someone who offered 19 who wants to come buy this weekend so we will see. Im in no rush to buy a new boat but there is a really really nice one down in san diego ive been eyeballing.

norcalmalibu 12-15-2013 7:01 PM

That sanger in sd looks sweet but the wheels on that trailer need to go!

dp513 12-16-2013 6:32 AM

Ya wheels arnt my favorite but boat looks awesome. He's not asking a crazy amount either. I'd probaly offer 30k and hope for the best. We will see if mine sells on Sunday or not.

I am actually located in San Diego and I'm not QUITE ready to make a move in the market. I am, however, willing to travel to Norcal for a potential pick up (I know there are significantly more Sangers up there with the Madera Dealership). Glad to see that you thoroughly enjoyed yours. I remember seeing my first one 12 years ago when I tried to convince my dad on a '98 V210. I love how this boat sits on the water and in the trailer, even if I have to sacrifice trips to Lake Powell.

norcalmalibu 12-16-2013 9:47 PM

The v210's have a great wake! If you're rolling with 8 peeps I agree they tend to feel small fast

dp513 12-16-2013 10:15 PM

Well let me know Clarke. Maybe I will still have it when your ready. And ya Nate it gets tight really quick. Sucks being the only one of my friends with a boat!

dp513 12-22-2013 6:44 PM

Well sold my boat today. It was a sad day. But it's on to something new. If you or anyone you know is selling there's let me know! Ready to buy!

norcalmalibu 12-22-2013 8:47 PM

Congrats onto bigger and better!

dp513 12-22-2013 9:03 PM

ya kinda took it in the ass on the sale price. but hopefully i can get a 215 for a little cheaper since its winter and itll make up for that! There isnt **** out there right now as far as 215s go though!

Dmac420sj 12-23-2013 7:34 AM

Did you sell with the stereo or with out?if you don't mind how much you get for it and from 1-10 what was the condition?

Jmorlan 12-23-2013 8:59 AM

I have a 215, very clean and well taken care of. Tinted shield and a full wet sounds stereo.
4 rev10's with swivel clamp on the tower, 650's in boat, and all sinister series amps. Also 2 12's.
170hrs.

Let me know!

dp513 12-23-2013 9:21 AM

Chris I got 19 :( for a 10 year old boat it was in very good condition. I literally took the whole stereo out. It had a CD player and 4 interiors that weren't even installed.

Jmorlan. Text me pics. 4152331129

norcalmalibu 12-23-2013 6:16 PM

Not sure of your price range but the malibu vlx 2005 and newer is a litter bigger than the 215. If you really want to be a good host for all your friends look for an lsv

dp513 12-23-2013 8:02 PM

I wanna stick to a 21-22 ft boat. I don't wanna break the bank in gas going out all the time. I have been looking at a brand new 12 vride that sporting edge in Antioch has. Over my price range but I'm getting a loan anyways so maybe it could work. The interior on it is bitchin. I've found a couple brand new sangers but for me the new towers don't work out well. There's an 11 larsons I really like but 42 is kinda steep. I'm not in too much of a rush but I got my feelers out. Ideally 25-30 for a used one is what I wanna spend. Maybe 35 if it has low low hrs. I have my whole system outta my 210 so I can careless about that. Ballast and perfect pass is all I really need.

dp513 12-27-2013 7:15 AM

How about a brand new 13 a22. There's quite a few at dealers in cali wondering if I could get one of those cheap.

Dmac420sj 12-27-2013 9:52 AM

A22 monster wake that will be my next boat after the 3500 cab over combo

dp513 12-27-2013 10:08 AM

There's a shop in Ventura advertising that there selling 13s for below cost plus rebates. I called them waiting or a call back. If I could get an axis for 45 I'd have to go for it

Dmac420sj 12-27-2013 12:52 PM

Oh you have too!

dp513 12-27-2013 1:40 PM

We'll Definately not 45. More like 57otd

hatepain 12-28-2013 11:00 AM

How was it equipped?

dp513 12-28-2013 4:19 PM

Pretty basic for the most part. No trick trailer or wetsound system. Had perfect pass and ballast. Supposingly it below dealer cost.

boardjnky4 12-28-2013 4:23 PM

That's probably about right on an a22 in terms of dealer cost.

grkero 12-29-2013 12:12 PM

I'm not fully versed in Sangers, but I just saw this on CL today: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/boa/4262909397.html

Looks like a pretty nice boat. Other than the fact the tower speakers are mounted the wrong way!! :D

I agree. He says he is "testing the waters" after having it up for the past 3 weeks or so. He was "firm" at 28k and now the boat is listed at 26k. I'd say offer 24k and get a killer deal on an 05. Not sure what condition the boat is in.

dp513 12-29-2013 1:59 PM

way too many hrs for me! Id like to find one with under 200. That things got a weird looking tower as well! Theres in 05 in willow glen for 29k but im not digging the colors. Larson marine has a 2011 with 60 hrs for 42. not sure how firm that price is but the thing is basically brand new!

dp513 01-03-2014 6:36 AM

An 08 for 40. Has an awesome color combo. Loaded. Has 144hrs. What do you guys think. Keep in mind ill probaly have to ship it here. And fly out to check it out. So 40+1500 for flight and shipping

http://eastidaho.craigslist.org/boa/4165183304.html

norcalmalibu 01-03-2014 8:11 AM

Danny- I would not pay more than 30-32k for a Sanger 215. They have essentially not changed them since 05 and really the only thing that 08 is buying you is graphics.

If I was spending 40k on a boat id take a hard look at a VLX or X-Star. This one below sold for under 40k, its going to be much more plush than a 215.
http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=41280

I was just like you..had a 1999 Sanger V210 loved it but felt it was too small always had 6 or so people on it. I sold it a few years back to buy a home and get married. This year the time came to start looking for a boat again. I've been riding on my friends Nautique 211 and a 22 Axis. I looked at a few 215's and realized how small they are in comparison to Malibu, Nautique and Mastercraft. Then I started opening up my search and started looking for a X-star, VLX and LSV. I settled on the LSV as soon as I hopped inside one and felt how big it's. If you're opposed to the size of a 23 i'd look at its little brother the VLX.

dp513 01-03-2014 9:05 AM

I do agree with you on that and I think he's way high on price. That green 215 I posted a while back was the same exact boat but 10k less. I'm in no rush to buy anyways. I've been in talks with Daniel at boat country about an axis. Just not sure I can pull te trigger or not. That's a lot of loot. I'll keep my eye out for a Malibu. There's a brand new 12 vride at sporting edge I could probaly get a screaming deal on. Id love to find an 06ish x2 with low hrs. I mostly surf and the xstars I've rode arnt that great in that department but I've heard the x2s surf better. Thanks for your input though! Hopefully something perfect will pop up!

boardjnky4 01-03-2014 9:33 AM

With financing rates being better on new vs used, and repair costs being nothing under a 3-5 year warranty, that would make a good case for new.

I don't know a whole lot about Sangers since they're more-or-less non-existent on the east coast, but I would agree with norcalmalibu that in the $40k range you have better options.

dp513 01-03-2014 11:16 AM

Ya te warranty is a cool thing. Also id be getting a good enough deal on a 13 axis to where I wouldn't lose much money in 3 years. I'm just gonna wait it out and see what happens.

dp513 01-07-2014 11:14 AM

What are some main differences between 12 and 13 a22s. I know the vinyl got an upgrade. But anything else?

Jmorlan 01-07-2014 11:26 AM

Surf gate a believe. I don't think the '12 had it. It came in '13.
I may be wrong.

boardjnky4 01-07-2014 11:40 AM

surfgate is a 2014 feature

13 got the new Sony headunit, a new dashboard design and as stated already, the new vinyl.

boardman74 01-07-2014 11:41 AM

Yep, not available on Axis till 2014 models.

BaadLS1 01-07-2014 6:06 PM

Winner? Is 2005 too old?

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/boa/4274462293.html

dp513 01-07-2014 7:24 PM

Thats a good find Clarke!! Looks super nice. Doesnt seem to have perfect pass or board racks. And is pretty plain jane. Nothing a wrap cant fix. 29 seems a touch steep though huh?

tripsw 01-07-2014 8:49 PM

Classy color scheme!

Dmac420sj 01-07-2014 9:24 PM

Wonder how that 350 nag pulls compared to the black Scorpion?

dp513 01-07-2014 10:02 PM

I was thinking that as well Chris. My 210 had the 350 in it and I sacked the **** outta it and it still pulled outta the hole well. I was thinking 25-26 range. Is anyone on here located in San Diego and wanna check it out for me?

BaadLS1 01-07-2014 10:27 PM

I am in North County San Diego and could possibly check it out this weekend. Why don't you give him a call and get some more info, see if it still seems like a solid find. Let me know and I'll check it out for ya. That boat looks cherry! *Jealous*

camassanger 01-08-2014 6:48 AM

My friend has the Mag 350 and I have the black scorpion. In my opinion, no noticeable difference in power. I think the rating is something like 315 to 330, but I can tell you that it isn't noticeable, at least not to me.

Dmac420sj 01-08-2014 9:01 AM

My black scorpion pulls like a beast compared to my buddies indmar. But I think it's cuz I'm properly propped.

dp513 01-08-2014 9:11 AM

True prop does have a lot to do with it!! What do you guys think is a fair price to offer. 26?

Dmac420sj 01-08-2014 9:44 AM

25 cash would get it id bet

norcalmalibu 01-08-2014 9:58 AM

That's the ticket! Jump on that bad boy.

dp513 01-08-2014 8:44 PM

hey Clarke. Shoot me a text or call when you get a chance. 4152331129

dp513 01-09-2014 7:13 PM

Sooooo hes a little bit firmer on price then I thought. Not sure its worth it for the price he wants... what to do what to do :confused::confused:

camassanger 01-09-2014 8:23 PM

That 2005 in San Diego is really nice IMO! 110 hours is a new boat in my opinion. You can add PP and board racks - that would probably sum up to 3K by the time you were done. Cant tell if it has any ballast either - that would cost another 1-2K to add.

dp513 01-10-2014 7:47 AM

It needs pp board racks and a wrap cus grey is way too plain for me. So that's like 4gs. So I'd be into about 33gs. That seems steep for an05. Granted it's seriously like brand new but resale value is gonna suck in 3 years. Think I'm gonna pass on it.

Dmac420sj 01-10-2014 8:37 AM

Tell him what you just told us!

dp513 01-10-2014 8:53 AM

I did. It's winter time. Where are all the guys losing there stuff and wanting to sell fast. On another note. My 210 I sold for 19 is now forsale for 28 on cl lmao

Dmac420sj 01-10-2014 9:01 AM

Wtfid sell mine for 27k right now and go but last years axis

dp513 01-10-2014 9:20 AM

Ya I saw it online and was like really? 28k I bought the boat last year and it was literally spotless for 23. If someone pays 28 for a 03 210 with almost 500 hrs they need there head examined

Dmac420sj 01-10-2014 9:41 AM

Lol I wonder if his intentions were to flip

dp513 01-10-2014 10:50 AM

After they signed the papers they told me they buy boats here and sell them in Australia for twice as much. Lol. Made me real happy

Dmac420sj 01-10-2014 11:08 AM

Really?

dp513 01-10-2014 11:08 AM

Yup

Dmac420sj 01-10-2014 11:13 AM

Danny you staying busy.

BaadLS1 01-12-2014 9:33 AM

Sorry Danny, family emergency this week kept me away. I'd sit tight on the 2005 myself. I haven't looked at it yet, but El Capitan just closed down here due to low water levels and I don't believe it will change for a while, which limits us to Mission Bay or the River. That makes for just about the worse boat selling market we've ever had here in San Diego, even for the Winter months. That boat won't sell unless someone flies for it.

dp513 01-12-2014 2:54 PM

Ya I was gonna pass on it anyways. Guy is firm at 28500. And that's more then I want to spend on an 05 with no perfect pass

dp513 02-02-2014 8:54 PM

The search for a new boat is yielding few results. I remember last year there being alot bigger selection to choose from! zero sangers out there forsale right now! :(

davidggriffith 02-02-2014 10:44 PM

Hi dp513 I have a 2006 v215 with 184 hrs my boat is loaded pp heater shower really nice stereo I'll let it go for 30,000.00 pm me if your interested
