Axis A-Series?

I was looking through some of the videos and posts about the new Axis A24, and I keep reading/hearing its the biggest boat in the A Series lineup. Is Axis going to have another style/series boat? I seems redundant to call it the Axis A Series if its the only series they offer.

Just curious...

I heard through what I thought to be a very reliable source that there'd be a 21 or 23' traditional bow Axis this year. It wasn't true though obviously.

I also heard a traditional bow was a work in progress from guys in the industry. But wouldn't trade my vandall for one!

i havent heard **** other then surfgate and 24. i love my a22 just with i had surfgate.

I'm pretty well informed, and I have heard zero about a traditional bow axis. It just makes no sense, because it would be a stark deviation from the existing design and branding.

Totally. I mean......if you're never going to have a B series, then it's kind of stupid to have an A series. What were they thinking? So lame.

It's just a name, you're reading too far into it.

What would you prefer them to be called, just a '20', '22'. '24'. I think 'Axis 24' would sound stupid.

MattieK27 08-08-2013 3:19 PM

Naming it with the A is not the issue. Its adopting the "A series" callout this year, without Axis having any other series to sell. It just seems odd. It was merely a question, man WW has gotten touchy...

Since Axis has 3 models now, "series" sounds like a more appropriate term.

has anyone rode on the a22 with surfgate yet? i am just wondering how the wake is? surfgate wake tends to be soft and mushy. just wondering if it is holding true with the axis hull?

axxxiswake 08-19-2013 10:45 AM

My dealer has a a24 on order and hopes to have it later this month. Gull Lake here in MI has a a24 on order. Those guys are going to hook up my high maintenance a$$ with a pull behind it as soon as I can.

I have ridin behind my a22 with SG and I am not a surfer by any means but it seems to be very nice. Seems to have nice push. It's long and smooth. When you add the wedge it gets steep and starts curling. No spray either.

I have stock ballast plus sumo 600's and 950 in front. I also have 300# of lead way up front.
