Replaced Fuel Pump... Still no gas getting to the Carb???
Ok yall... Back the boat into the water the other day and it would not fire, just cranked and cranked. Opened up the carb and it was not getting any sort of fuel flow. So i pulled the fuel pump discharge line and it wasnt spitting out any fuel, and I could not hear it running so I assumed it had to be the pump. Replaced it with an exact replacement and still nothing.. Took a test light to the connectors on the bottom of the pump and im getting a constant ground on one and a dead line on the other untill you crank the motor, then it shows up as a ground as well?? Whats going on yall??? Its a 2000 Moomba Kamberra 350 Carb

Fuel pump relay(s)?

i had the same problem with mine first ride of the year, what i found on my supra was the power requires oil pressure to activate the pump but the engine doesnt create enough pressure if its been sitting a long time. run a jumper wire to the positive side to get the fuel to flow into the lines and then itll start and should be fine the rest of the season!

I agree with others. There should be an oil pressure switch that provides power to the fuel pump. I had a 2000 moomba with the indmar carb 350 that needed this replaced. It is designed to cut the fuel pump off if insufficient oil pressure. It is like a 30-50 dollar part. Probably an 1/8th inch NO 4 or 155 pound pressure switch.

Ok... Just thought id get back with yall. We figured out what the problem was a little after I posted this, the kill switch had a bad connection on the back side of it and wasn't letting the fuel pump get any juice. So I replaced the fuel pump for no reason, but I know it wont fail me any time soon lol. Thanks for the input guys,
