Hi all. You convinced me that Simmer is the way to go over Jabsco.

Where should I buy it?

Got an on-line source?

I want it to be reversible.

http://www.beatlas.com/
they're reversible, but not explosion proof.

Trace, I guess you mean that the Simmer pumps are not spark protected. I understand that the Jabsco pumps are protected. Perhaps this is why they are twice the price and used by MC.

probably so. just don't mount them in the bilge or engine compartment & you're fine.

simer told me their wholesaler is beatlas. they are cheap and work great. i was told that they are not supposed to be puit in the engine compartment, but manyu people i talk to still do it. the ironic thing is that they say that they are splash proof or maybe even water proof...

Great service at be atlas! I don't think they realize that we are using those pumps in this manner. Dennis at BE Atlas hadn't even heard of wakeboarding.

I was planning on putting my pumps under the rear seat (driver's side) in my 2000 VLX.
The air space is loosely connected to the bilge and engine compartment.

I wanted to use the Simmers to save money, but I do want to risk of explosion!

Last weekend, JR and I cut the holes (fill, vents and drains) and installed the thru-hull connections. Just need to pump it and wire it now.
