Highest Frame Count? How Big Do You Go?

So. Whats the story? I've poked around on this forum and can't find any video of guys going big or counting video frames. Lets see some video of you going BIG. What's the frame height record, and can someone post the video to prove it?

wakebordr11 09-18-2012 5:52 AM

^ Ouch, I don't even have the balls to get on one of those things... they are NUTS

jarrod 09-18-2012 7:38 AM

I thought that was called a sea donkey :D

That is respectable and HUGE.

FoilPowell 09-18-2012 3:36 PM

Raf... going small since 1985. That other tread is just a bunch of talk. I'm looking for proof. Do wakeboarders not count frames? And Yes we have embraced the term Sea Donkey!

simplej 09-18-2012 6:29 PM

thats huge...

but im confused, i thought this "wakeboarding discussion"...

and no we dont count frames because its not a dong swinging contest.

andy_nintzel 09-19-2012 8:10 AM

ugh, is it just me or is the "air chair" just lame.

sppeders 09-19-2012 9:30 AM

i thought the same thing until i saw a guy going huge live from the boat... it's nuts.

FoilPowell 09-24-2012 4:35 PM

Here is another inspirational big air video for all you big air wakeboarders. Lets see some frame counting videos! Come on, I know there has to be some around? Right?http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=osVEfnghSmc

bkillgore 09-24-2012 6:21 PM

Anyone notice how high the rope is even at his highest point its never aimed down towards the boat? What is his rope hooked up to?

501s 09-24-2012 6:51 PM

Those guys have so much style.......

Nice if they could toss in a method or something while they are doing the big air somersaults.

Joking aside those are huge huge airs, I could only imagine if you hooked an edge of some sort what could happen.

wakebordr11 09-24-2012 8:10 PM

How high do you think you go? 30-32 ft?

wakerider111 09-26-2012 10:59 PM

are these guys in the air-chairs / sky-skis wearing helmets for the impact of water or potential impact of the ski/chair? or both?

...uhhh ohhh... did i just bring up the helmet issue?

FoilPowell 09-27-2012 12:55 PM

Hmm so 5+ years ago a couple pros when 53-53.5 frames? Thats it? In 5 years? I guess if you don't go big you don't need a helmet. I throw bigger than 53 frames EVERY time I ride. I wear a helmet because it's safer than not wearing a helmet. Closed head injuries are a game ender. I'm 35 and plan on going big for another 30 years or so.

captain_vilfo 09-27-2012 1:28 PM

that air by murray is ridiculous...

.. not as ridiculous as riding a chair on the water though

wakebordr11 09-27-2012 3:27 PM

I'm not so sure Adam, every time I pee on the wall I go atleast 79frames and but ofcourse I start 13" off the base and roll deep son every day!

jhartt3 09-27-2012 3:40 PM

Why are you even entertaining this guys question he obviously drives an F550 jacked up 10ft with 35in rims and 50 in tires...

kko13 09-27-2012 5:03 PM

We might have found the "Lon" of the air chair world! I dont know any air chair guys/gals..but I sure hope they are not all tools like this jagoff!
I do respect your skill and enjoy watching you ride..but dear God dont be a tool!!

FoilPowell 09-27-2012 5:43 PM

So I ask about videos of wakeboarders going big and I'm a tool? Just curious to see how big you guys are going. I thought for sure there would be a few of you that wanted to know how big they're going. I had no idea wakeboarders didn't count frames. Now I know. Sorry for coming off like a tool. If any of you ever decide to count your frames, humor an old tool and post them up.

SS_Hooke102 09-27-2012 6:54 PM

Adam- We don't tend to focus (as far as i am aware) on frame count. We tend to focus more on the trick aspect versus the actual height of the jump. I have a lot of respect for both, a guy, I used to ride with in AR could absolutely throw down on a chair... No idea on his frame counts, but the guy could boost some backflips (or whatever you guys call them). I just never really got into it, wakeboarding is more up my alley. If you want to see some people going big on a wakeboard though, I'd check out some Randall Harris videos, that guy is nuts, he rides at like 92' and at like 28 mph or something like that....

You didn't know you were coming across as a tool when you were talking smack about Shaun Murray 'only' going 53.5 frames. Oh that was a regular height tower without a tool extension. Reread your posts man.
