I'm in the IT industry and am curious to see what people think about the websites of the inboard boat manufacturers (http://www.mastercraft.com, http://www.nautiques.com, http://www.malibuboats.com, http://www.supraboats.com, etc...). Based on navigation, look, feel, extras, loading times...who has the best site. Also...what do you like or dislike about them?

All but Mastercraft need an html version. Mastercraft had this problem but fixed it a few months ago. Supra/Moomba needs to get rid of that stupid form to get into the price configurator thing. They all seem intuitive to navigate and have lots of pretty pictures that make me want to go spend more money I don't have.

Mastercraft is the only site that is completely contstructed in Flash. The other sites are comprised of both Flash and html.

All the sites are nice, but the Malibu site is probably the most impressive from a website standard. Nautiques site is probably the fastest loading and easiest navigational site. All in all they are all impressive sites.

I personally cant stand the javascript function of full window height and width on the "standard" entrance link on Malibu Boats. That is annoying.

Mastercraft has outstanding graphics and effects, both Flash and HTML. My favorite among boat manufacturers sites.

(Message edited by Pierce Bronkite on August 21, 2003)

I think MasterCraft has the best looking site. However I like the navigation and extra features(create your own boat / wallpapers & screensavers)that Nautiques site provides. Is there a reason most sites don't publish a msrp for their boats on the site?

I really like Malibu's color creator, I like to mess around with different colors and see how they would look. I also really like Centurion's color creator. I like the Malibu website because they have a huge amount of information for you and they show you the price with out having to give a whole bunch of stupid info.
