Anybody ever surf a 2006+ MasterCraft X-30 / Maristar 230VRS?
 

Looking at a Mastercraft X-30, but have never surfed one. Is it capable of pro level wakes if additional ballast is added? How does it compare to an Avalanche or RZ2?

I have not personally ridden behind one, but I have read on many occasions from those that have that they are not nearly as good as the Avalanche or even the RZ2 that you mentioned. If surfing is going to be your main sport, I would look elsewhere

Rode behind a maristar a couple times, not sure the year or model (mid 90's), but the surf wave sucked, nothin compared to a Avy or an RZ2

I have heard the only MC worth surfing is the X25. You will have to add a TON of weight to that X30. There are a lot better surf boats on the market.
