What trick is this?

What trick is Brian Hutton doing at 0:10 and 0:25 of this video? It's sick! It looks kinda like a KGB, but it seems like he stays upside down longer than what I see when most guys to a KGB. Sorry for the noob question, but I'm really not too sharp on my mobes.

Hmm

The first looks like a moby dick and the second an off axis hs fs 7.

jsweat 08-03-2011 12:46 AM

the first is a slim chance and the second is a ts ole 7

captain_vilfo 08-03-2011 5:57 AM

yeah its a wake to wake slim chance lol if you stop it you can see hes spinning frontside.

btw, they are getting massive pop!!!!

jeff_mn 08-03-2011 7:05 AM

good damn that was a poppy wake!

bhyatt_ohp 08-03-2011 7:31 AM

Chad Sharpe's old 2008 VLX. He had that thing dialed. Great riding.

flydenrict 08-03-2011 7:53 AM

A. Yeah that wake is lippy. B. the first i agree is a slim chance and the second looks like an off axis hs 7 where he goes out the front. Its not ole because you can see the hanle pass. really good riding all around.

andy_nintzel 08-03-2011 7:55 AM

First one is for sure a Slim Chance. Second is an off axis 7 theres a handle pass in there for sure.

What is Hutton been up to, that kid can shred!

jsweat 08-03-2011 8:09 AM

man for some reason i thought that the original post said at :10 and :15 the second trick is gnarly off axis

snoopy1173 08-03-2011 8:56 AM

On the same topic what is the difference between a front mobe and a slim chance. We were talking about it at the cable the other day and I saw a guy do a front to blind but do an extra 180. Is that a slim chance, or a front mobe? That was an awesome video of some sick riding too

txwakerider14 08-03-2011 12:03 PM

Both tricks are slim chances, he just starts his spin a little early on the second one

txwakerider14 08-03-2011 12:04 PM

It's the same trick, both are slim chances

drewproses 08-03-2011 1:24 PM

Jay- a front mobe and slim chance are the same thing, a front with a backside 3 is called a front blind mobe.

wakeviolater 08-03-2011 3:17 PM

if you do a switch front mobe its called a PHAT chance...A byerly stable back in the day.

ive never heard of a front blind mobe...i would just call that a moby dick.

I had to bring this back to the top
SICK bag of tricks

skiboarder 04-20-2012 1:32 PM

Spinnin and winnin.

Nice work.

SS_Hooke102 04-20-2012 4:56 PM

Chad's malt-o-meal at 3:04 is absolutely filthy and massive.... just sayin'

hutton 04-23-2012 6:05 AM

Thank you all for the positive remarks. Both tricks were front mobes. I still wakeboard a lot just don't really compete anymore. I do plan on riding in nationals this summer. I just lost my sponsors and couldn't get anyone to pick me up on a paying contract. I decided to use my college degree and went to work.

TheHebrewHammer 04-23-2012 9:24 AM

Wow man, that sounds like a tough transition. That's really mature of you. Good luck in whatever is next for you!

curtbernstein 04-25-2012 11:09 AM

Great video! tons of really good looking tricks!! I am really interested to know about how long of a line length you guys are riding in this video? It looks rather short, which seems to be the latest thing these days with boat wakes getting bigger while preferred boat speed is staying about the same...

TheHebrewHammer 04-29-2012 9:34 PM

I think it's just the camera angle. Based on the width of the wake, I'd bet they were probably riding the same kind of rope lengths that just about all pros seem to use nowadays (i.e. 80-85 feet).

501s 04-29-2012 10:04 PM

Wow, I was really impressed with Hutton's riding. That is some serious shredding right there.

superair502 04-29-2012 10:53 PM

Don't let him be modest he still rips! 20 minute set behind my boat today full of mobes and 9s!

hutton 04-30-2012 6:49 AM

Rope length is 82 and 1/2, it was definatly the camera angle. Appreciate all the nice comments about my riding!!! It is easy to shred behind mason Meuth boat his old school 210 is slammed so you get super boosties behind his wake.
