12-13-2010 10:42 PM

i've never had a problem getting in touch with them through e-mail. and they told me 2011 stuff is coming.

Dude you don't know for sure so don't say things like that.........

innov8 12-14-2010 11:22 AM

Done, I don't think so, I just recently checked out the 2011 product.

snwmot 12-14-2010 12:10 PM

I have kind of heard the same thing, unofficially of course so
that really doesnt say much, and just for arguments sake im
sure the 2011 product line could have been finished before
any change within the company

skiboarder 12-15-2010 8:43 AM

Company has a heck of a product. I hope the best for them.

While we are on the subject. Does anyone have a used 142 severance? I will negotiate based on condition. If it floats--Ill make an offer.

i have one. never been on a cable. like new.

adam_balon 12-16-2010 9:18 PM

kyle_m 12-31-2010 1:40 AM

so whats the deal any new word? they still alive or what?

andy_nintzel 12-31-2010 8:16 AM

I hope they are not done, I hate seeing companies in the wake industry suffer.

wake_upppp 12-31-2010 10:01 AM

I don't like to hear about these companies going out either but I too heard from a pretty reliable source they were done. Again I hope not but why are people having trouble reaching them? Good customer service starts with people being able to pick up the phone and get ahold of someone. And secondly, why havn't they responded to this thread? Maybe because of the holidays they're gone until after the 1st of the year?

kyle_m 12-31-2010 10:37 AM

I have heard that they were done too and i know a guy that worked for them commented on the 2011 thread and i read it before he deleted his post saying that he is now riding a LWA board so i was just confused, its going to suck if they are going out, there products were pretty top notch

hawkeye7708 12-31-2010 10:44 AM

This would have come as quite a surprise, to me at least. It seemed like their boards were very popular and they were getting lots of exposure, in videos, mags and the like.

wake77 12-31-2010 11:06 AM

It seems strange, and I have not found any 2011 Company product anywhere. But then again, Gator boards seemed to kind of "lay low" in 2010 as far as new product roll out is concerned. But Company has been pretty visible on this board and haven't seen them lately. Haven't heard from Nicola's dad lately either.

apf 12-31-2010 1:01 PM

yea i have to say im pretty dissapointed...I still have had no contact with them and this has been since the week before thanksgiving.
ive also seen the 2011 product line...i believe there was a link on here somewhere
I liked the line up but i still like the older 4 bolt binding design and the new recruit doesnt have
it anymore. guess it wont matter much since i cant use the bindings anymore

Musgrove 12-31-2010 11:43 PM

hey guys there is another forum on page 3 with a link to a foriegn website showing new copmany models they look sick but the severance is a bit ugly for me for 2011

Musgrove 12-31-2010 11:45 PM

can someone send me what they though of the severance and recruit and im looking to buy either if anyone is willin

apf 01-01-2011 7:51 AM

im riding the recruit....love it

xistential 01-01-2011 11:37 AM

I'm still here :) Don't have a clue about Company though............

nsolis220 01-02-2011 11:15 AM

chris, How could you not know about Company? Your daughter is one of their main riders.... its easy really what brand board is she riding now? Pro's only ride stuff their being paid to

CompanyWakeboards 01-02-2011 12:41 PM

Hello everyone,

We apologize for the silence...

We will be communicating "official" updates as soon as possible. Hustling...

Grateful for the love,

daveronix199 01-02-2011 1:28 PM

Intense ...... I liked there product

snwmot 01-02-2011 8:50 PM

^see there not dead keep thinking positive guys times are tough CO. needs all of our support!

boarderpat 01-03-2011 8:17 AM

I rode my first Company board a year and a half ago and haven't looked back since! I ride the Severance with Vandall bindings and it's the best setup for me that I've ever ridden, I'll be gutted if they stop making them! :(

JEr 01-03-2011 11:50 AM

I had a 09 recruit 143 and loved it..................but then 2 weeks after warranty was up broke the board and they wouldnt help a guy out, so i am now a watson hybrid guy.

TelepromptedAnthems 01-03-2011 12:29 PM

They didn't replace an out-of-warranty board? What a bunch of jerks!

skiboarder 01-03-2011 2:20 PM

Can't replace it if you don't have one to replace it with. They seem like good guys in a tough spot. I wish them the best.

Musgrove 01-04-2011 5:13 PM

is anyone sellin a vandall or severance or recruit?

xistential 01-05-2011 8:46 AM

Soli,in answer to your question Nicola is still riding her pro model Company board.

well thats good news...

how about warranty issues???

01-05-2011 9:12 PM

I think they have a mfg. Supply problem. Seems demand is more than can be shaped. Remember, these are made here and not dished out by people who have probably never seen a board before. Remote seems to have the same issue.

bmr850 01-13-2011 8:11 AM

some of there boards are made by integrity wakeskates in oregon so it could just be working everything out with them for the 2011 boards. and their twitter has been quit for about 2 months now. im sure they will be breaking the silence soon can't let small companies die. especially one as good as company which isn't run by ski companys.

w/o the ski "companys", wakeboarding might not have reached the heights it has. that's not a knock on company. i hope to hear good news from them soon and wish them the very best!

Luker 01-13-2011 10:13 AM

From the beginning I wasn't sure the market had enough room too sustain 2 thin profile, flex specific companies (SS and Company). It possibly could have worked in Europe where cables are more prevalent, but the US market is so boat dominant it'd be a tough road to profitability. Their marketing people were rad and did everything they could from great, gimmicky internet stuff... all the way to the high profile signings like Randall and Nicola. But in the end, a sh*tty market is a hard place to introduce a niche product, especially when one already exists.

Really sucks honestly... Hope they figure something out or the talent that was there finds themselves a home at some of the other manufactures.

That being said... It could be huge for Byerly... rumors have Randall already signing with them and Nicola is a no brainer considering her relationship with Rathy.

Thoughts?

hawkeye7708 01-13-2011 10:51 AM

Luker,

I think that the question of where Company's riders would end up IF Company is indeed going under is probably the most interesting one. Company did amass an extremely talented group of riders in its short time. If Randall signed with Byerly boards that would be some serious legend power on that team. Nicola signing with them could be interesting as she's had a previous relationship with Byerly's parent company, Hyperlite. I don't know if that would play into any decision at all though.

daveronix199 01-13-2011 11:00 AM

WOW ALWAKE... If thats the CASE BYERLY would be SO LEGIT.... Byerly and Randall OMG domination the STYLE!!! WOW WOW WOW as if.....

wakerider111 01-13-2011 11:28 AM

This MIGHT help solve some of the many ???marks reguarding Lyman too. IF indeed the rumors were true that he was signing on with Company and IF indeed Company is done then that would have made him free-floating without a board sponsor?

I had a thought about Randall going to Phallanx Wake, being side by side with Ricky G and all, West side riders. But I kinda wonder about Phallanx well-being too. There has not been any news about phallanx in a while. But going with Byerly sounds pretty cool

good luck to everyone

Reeder, Rossiter, Bashir and Chris O would be no brainers at Slingshot I'd hope... those guys all shred hard with major style on rails.

daveronix199 01-13-2011 1:29 PM

Man that a BIG pick up for Slingshot though! 4 big names in rail riding! i donno if thats a smart move!! Good luck to thoses boys and Tino Santori!!!

Musgrove 01-13-2011 1:39 PM

im excited to see where the team goes if its co. is done but man i was looking forward to the new 2011 vandall so bad it was a dope board

stang_killa_ss 01-13-2011 2:59 PM

damn if company is done, i bet lyman is pissed!
he left LF to jump on company only for it to go under less than a year later. that kid just cant catch any breaks. and hes so damn talented too.

Luker 01-13-2011 3:21 PM

Pretty sure he's gonna be shreddin some Afghans for the next 4 years... the "Lyman" thread earlier indicated he went into military service. The Reeder, Rossiter stuff is just me thinking outloud... I've haven't heard the first thing about anything like that.

xistential 01-13-2011 5:21 PM

"Reeder, Rossiter, Bashir and Chris O would be no brainers at Slingshot I'd hope"

What company has the money to pick up four "floating" riders and having to pay them in this market??

mckenna 01-13-2011 7:25 PM

i thought chris o had just brought company to australia..... weird if it was going under.

Musgrove 01-13-2011 7:31 PM

idk but i agree with jeremy about vandall and phalanx but id hate to see company go i just bought some vandall boots

jmuthafnp 01-13-2011 8:09 PM

One of the dudes you already mentioned just signed on with Slingshot a few weeks back.

daveronix199 01-14-2011 1:12 PM

Hmmm My guess would be Oshea Or Rossiter

Musgrove 01-14-2011 1:19 PM

prolly rossiter

jarrod 01-14-2011 3:32 PM

I'm hearing bag things. For the sake of the riders I know and respect, mainly Randall, I hope it's not true.

01-14-2011 3:54 PM

looking at a few newer companies that have succeeded thus far there is one thing to pay attention to that makes a huge difference. ronix-sells wakeboards, skates, and has other divisions that sell skis, tubes, etc. slingshot has money coming in from it's kiteboard side. byerly has the backing of kent water sports. all have become a success thus far and who knows if they would have w/o the other divisions. hopefully it's all hearsay and they are letting us run our mouths and will blow our minds soon.

lives2wake 01-14-2011 6:41 PM

Hope so...

wakeboardern1 01-15-2011 7:02 AM

I think it's Reeder who went to slingshot. I saw a status of his saying how he's been enjoying slingshot boards..

jmuthafnp 01-15-2011 4:23 PM

Ding! Ding! We have a winner.

501s 01-18-2011 11:55 PM

So I got the new issue of Alliance in the mail a couple days ago. I noticed a short little interview with Randall about his board but not a single company product in either the buyers guide or in the tests. Kinda sad, I learned a lot of new tricks on my Recuit this season (I should say Recruit's, I went through 3) and really like this board.

xistential 01-19-2011 2:32 AM

I wonder just how long this speculation is going to drag on for???

dyost 01-19-2011 4:41 AM

I bet they'll let the rumors fly until the 2011 product launch. Seems to be their way. Company are brilliant marketers in terms of letting the word spread and then making some big announcement.

However, people are buying 2011 gear now. So if they want to cash in they better get it out there before their loyal following buys another ride for 2011.

This is all assuming they're sticking around of course, which I hope they do.

eubanks01 01-19-2011 8:02 AM

Brilliant marketing is not answering your customers as it relates to warranty issues with your product? I surely didn't listen very well in my marketing classes then. :-)

daveronix199 01-19-2011 9:45 AM

Hurry up and tell us COMPANY... We are still waiting for the "official" word

kyle_m 01-19-2011 7:10 PM

so heres something the first rider in the video is bob sichel and look what hes riding, his 2011 vandall board i hope they are still around

kyle_m 01-19-2011 7:13 PM

oops forgot to post the video
http://www.alliancewake.com/wake/beh...ance-ride-day/

Musgrove 01-19-2011 7:54 PM

i think they are making a fool of us cause were so ready to see

daveronix199 01-28-2011 12:37 PM

I doubt there making us look like fools... Why would a company want to make there most loyal customers look bad....

wakerider111 01-30-2011 3:55 PM

Remote seems to be fine. the alliance mag has a interview with silas and has 4 remote decks listed in the gear guide, the ones with old-school cereal box art. I thought remote and company were joined somehow maybe the two companies are individual enough not to influence each other if so

Musgrove 01-30-2011 4:33 PM

anyone sellin a co. vandall?

daveronix199 01-31-2011 7:46 AM

Worth a shot

http://www.tightboards.com/vendor-co...akeboards.html

skiboarder 01-31-2011 9:19 AM

If you want to take a radical approach, I would call Schmaltz (Integrity) direct.

01-31-2011 1:22 PM

Hello everyone,

I understand that without the information that you are all searching for, speculation will indeed begin to shape...We will be issuing a public statement to reduce this speculation and to clarify things as soon as it's appropriate to do so. (Working on it.)

Regards,
Justin

daveronix199 01-31-2011 1:37 PM

Justin For those of us who want to support your COMPANY we are not wating forever... Either you make wakeboards or you don't it has been a month since you last chimed in here....

daveronix199 01-31-2011 1:59 PM

LYMAN IS NOT ON COMPANY

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...2477.517501877

Shooter 01-31-2011 2:06 PM

I think the writing is on the wall. A company is done when it cant even deny they are out of business for over a month. Sucks because I enjoyed your product.

jburbo 01-31-2011 2:27 PM

I get that this is frustrating guys, but cut them some slack. Put yourself in Justins shoes, if you put everything you had into a company and it didn't work out, don't you think it would be a little hard on you and your family? Nobody sets out to build a company that can't sustain. Granted I have no idea if they are done, but if they are then it's not easy for them.

skiboarder 02-01-2011 7:22 AM

I agree Joe. There are people involved in this story. Not some faceless, evil corporation.

I wish the best for all involved in this venture and either way I am still a fan of the product. In fact, I snapped my Recruit 139 on Friday. If anyone has a 138 Severance or a 139 Recruit that is still structurally sound, I will buy it. Cosmetics are no problem--$100. Please PM me pics of any damage it may have.

JEr 02-01-2011 10:07 AM

So with Slingshot officially signing Lyman today and at the bottom of the article, they say "Stay tuned. There’s more excitement coming from Slingshot soon…" and Justin still saying he is working on everything and will come out with some news soon. I wonder if there is a merger with these two companies. Just a thought????????

Musgrove 02-01-2011 10:16 AM

i thought company is a branch of slingshot.....

xistential 02-01-2011 10:27 AM

Dave - you think Justin is doing this so that he can jerk people around? As previously posted there are employees and families involved here. This is not Bernie Madoff...

andy_nintzel 02-01-2011 12:24 PM

Hunter,

I think that SLingshot makes the company boards if I am not mistaken.
