How much difference did the switch blade make? Looks like the curling lip has been eliminated, is that a good thing?

jdjjamesz 05-30-2010 6:19 PM

yeah,it helps to throw you in the air more and have a long big bowl to ride and more push behind the wake..

hatepain 06-01-2010 12:57 PM

Nice pics and some sick riding man. The Fly High sticker on the bottom of your board is appropriate ;)

tonyv420 06-01-2010 2:08 PM

Did you have some work done on your boat?

jdjjamesz 06-04-2010 3:08 PM

yeah ,I had a sideswipe put on for everyone that goes on my boat and for the kids to start riding, and ocean liner lights for night..Petty sick, and thanks alot hate n pain for the props, im all about going out as much as I can and trying new stuff and pushing the sport as much as I can.I just love doing it,Ive been surfing since I was a little kid and was so stoked to get into this sport......

Do you have pics of before and after the switchblade install? How hard was it to get used the switchblade while driving at slow speeds? I read through Switchblade's website and there is mention of a change in how the boat behaves at lower speeds with the switchblade. Also, how much weight warranted a change in prop? I am just getting into surfing.

jdjjamesz 06-16-2010 12:46 PM

you just pull the switchblade up to one and and it drives like you dont have it on,it makes the boat run like it has 1200 pounds in the back of the boat with the switchblade dial on 5..

tonyv420 06-17-2010 2:35 PM

Honest opinion now, do you like the wake better with the blade or without?

tonyv420 06-17-2010 2:38 PM

Sorry Jamez, I guess I could have read further up the post. Looks like your pretty happy with the blade.

jdjjamesz 06-17-2010 2:46 PM

yeah ,im pretty happy with it for sure,it gives it a little more punch..if your ever out this way anthony your welcomed to try it..

Some more switchblade questions. Do you have the auto launch feature? Do you like it? Do you tow your boat with the blade on or off?

Thanks again.

jdjjamesz 06-17-2010 5:38 PM

I tow it off,and I have the launch feature but I dont use the auto ,I do it myself. I like 4 and 5 on the dial..

jdjjamesz 06-18-2010 12:41 PM

you should re prop the boat if you get it ,you dont have to .I ran for along time with the stock prop ..But I got a new one and it runs better.
