Anyone use PHL pro audio?
 
I saw these the other day and just wondering how good they would work. i was looking for a 6.5 for my existing cans. i know bullet Hollow points makes a 6.5 just looking at alternatives.

It would take a lot of amp to get the needed power to them @ 8 or 16 Ohms $.02

Michael,

You'd have to add a separate horn tweeter driver plus these only have a low end usage of 400 Hz where you need almost two more octaves. This driver is only a single element in a 3-way speaker. Zero application for a tower even if used in multiples to get a lower impedance load.

But WOW are those ever efficient for a direct-radiating speaker at 97dB! If you could ever get a midbass speaker (from 100 to 400 Hz) to keep pace, those would definitely be crazy loud on even moderate power.
