What are your thoughts on the Supreme v226?
Considering this boat along with an Enzo 230, Tige 22ve, and maybe a used X-30. What are your thoughts? Family boat for 5, dog, plus friends. Wakesurfing, wakeboarding, tubing...

duffymahoney 02-28-2010 9:48 PM

The Enzo, Tige and Supreme will have great waves. The supreme v226 and the enzo-avalanche share a similar hull design. The same guy designed both. The supreme is just deeper(deepest in the industry) and has a larger top cap. This means bigger custom sacs and a nice big waves. Same basicallly goes for the enzo (which is an amazing surf boat). The mastercraft is an amazing wakeboard boat and an ok surf boat.

Which is the most important feature for you? If it's wakeboarding then go with the mastercraft. If it's surfing again the Enzo, Tige and supreme will be great.

rrw71 03-01-2010 9:14 AM

Thanks for the input. Surfing is probably #1, along with the kids learning to wakeboard, surf and tubing. I hope to get some demo rides in the next couple weeks if the weather cooperates.

westsidarider 03-01-2010 9:53 AM

I really dig the new V226. It has an incredible surf wake and the wakeboard wake is pretty good too. I would describe it as a steeper version of the xstar. Very meaty with a little bit of a lip to it. Very fun

duffymahoney 03-01-2010 10:24 AM

V226 could be the greatist wakesurf boat out. With custom enzo sacs and some time dialing in the wave. But to my knowledge no one has done this yet. The enzo and the Tige have been proven to have great waves. If you surf both sides I would go with the Tige or the V226. If you just surf the port or regular side I would go with the enzo. All these boats are amazing good luck!

westsidarider 03-01-2010 11:11 AM

We have had the surf wake more than dialed behind the 226 every time I have been out in it. I actually found it very easy to dial it in. The first time out a year ago we were surfing at 17 mph and way back on the wave.

duffymahoney 03-01-2010 2:18 PM

Post some v226 pictures. I would love to see more. Or even better would be some video. Please post what weight you are running etc.. Thanks

Here are 2 pics of possible color options on the optional all in gel color that is offered. The other 2 pics the boat is loaded as follows: rear stock ballast full, additional 350 v-drive sac in the locker, one 350 v-drive sac under the passenger side seats as full as possible, another 350 v-drive sac in the passenger compartment, and another 350 v-drive sac in the bow. Only 3 people in the boat

duffymahoney 03-01-2010 5:06 PM

Last picture looks like a turn? Any more pictures? I got supreme to measure for a custom enzo type sacs and it was going to be huge! I think like 1800 or so pounds. If and when it's time for a new boat I am going to look at the v226. Where is the cooler? I know that sounds dumb but it's very important to me:)

westsidarider 03-01-2010 5:15 PM

Cant find anymore pics right now but I know there are some more floating around that I should be able to get my hands on.

That last pic looks like it was on a slight turn based on the prop wash but it was pretty slow anyways so its not really a good representation. it was all I had so I posted it.

There are 2 coolers in the bow, one on each side under the seats. And no, it doesn't sounds dumb, at least not to me. Hahaha

This was 2 weeks ago at lake yosemeti I believe

duffymahoney 03-01-2010 5:54 PM

Sick! What speed is that?

westsidarider 03-01-2010 6:05 PM

Couldnt tell ya. I wasnt there. My buddy just sent me that picture.

duffymahoney 03-01-2010 6:11 PM

Keep the pictures coming!

ralph 03-01-2010 7:34 PM

Wow! Impressive

duffymahoney 03-01-2010 8:30 PM

This boat has the potential to be the best surf boat out. Love the pictures, thanks!

westsidarider 03-01-2010 10:33 PM

Yea unfortunately I was not there the day they took that last pic I posted but from the looks of it they could have loaded the front down more and made that huge wave twice as long

taft 03-01-2010 11:54 PM

I was gonna say the wave looks pretty stubby, but ya maybe weight up front would help out quite a bit.

What do you think? I hope the price is right...

westsidarider 03-02-2010 12:40 PM

WOW! I havent seen that color combo. Looks super sick. I think that just sold me on the in gel paint. Super clean.

lakesurfer 03-02-2010 1:57 PM

The biggest problems with that boat is the dash. I dont think they could make it uglier if they tried. Surf wake looks like it has a lot of potential!

westsidarider 03-02-2010 5:29 PM

The current dash is being completely re-designed so dont get too hung up on how horrible the dash is right now. I saw the digital rendition of the new dash and its pretty sick. Very modern, clean and functional

bac 03-02-2010 6:07 PM

After seeing that last pic, I'd be interested to see what that wake would like with some more bow weight. Looks crazy steep, but it looks very promising. These are the first pics I've ever even seen of anyone surfing a supreme

rrw71 03-02-2010 6:59 PM

Anyone have a pic of the new dash? I'm sure it's different than the 11/08 post...

westsidarider 03-02-2010 7:16 PM

As of right now there is only a digital rendition of the new dash. From what I understand the mold for it is being made right now.

My V 212 wake.

rrw71 03-03-2010 5:52 AM

Nice. How is it loaded?

BTW - I got to do a demo ride on a 2010 Enzo 230 with tab. Nice boat, but wasn't able to get anything that looked surfable with 2 people and stock balast(4 tanks).

lakesurfer 03-03-2010 12:19 PM

^^^^^^^ Why would you think you are going to get a good surf wake with stock ballast. Four tanks and no Switch Blade is only about 500 lbs on each side. I dont think you can get a good surf wake on any boat with stock ballast. You have to put to much weight on one side to surf and I cant imagine any boat maker is going to do that. However, take that Enzo 230 and add 1,500lb Enzo sacs and Switch Blade and you will have a very solid surf wake.

motogod77 03-04-2010 9:46 AM

I've surfed the 226 a lot and the boat really likes weight since it is so big/deep. I can ride all day with the stock ballast, but the thing really comes alive with about 2500 lbs and I can't wait to dial the thing in with a switchblade. I think the 226 is superior to the Enzo considering price and what you get for your dollar.

rrw71 03-05-2010 3:44 PM

Does an Enzo Sack fit in the 226?

duffymahoney 03-05-2010 3:51 PM

You just need a custom version of the enzo sac. The lockers are much bigger then the enzo's.

westsidarider 03-05-2010 7:54 PM

I have been using the FlyHigh V-drive sacks in the 226 and they have been working great. They fill just about the entire V-drive compartment up.

jdjjamesz 03-06-2010 6:00 PM

what up
Hey jason where does your buddy live that sent you that picture I wan to go try that wake and do a write up on that boat.

gunz 03-06-2010 6:19 PM

Wake envy:eek:

westsidarider 03-06-2010 11:05 PM

James- I tried sending you a PM but I think there are still a few glitches in the new WW site. Email me and we can figure something out. callenj@ymail.com

desotodave 03-09-2010 7:22 AM

If they could change the graphics on the boat, and the interior and dash then i might look at it. They are trying to just to WAYYYYY too much with the graphics and it just makes you dizzy!

bac 03-09-2010 7:56 AM

I agree with you that thats not my first choice either. But they do offer quite a few other options when it comes to graphics

desotodave 03-09-2010 8:33 AM

Oh yeah one other general comment. I have a Centurion Enzo and it only has like 40-45 gallons of fuel. My buddy's X30 has 80 or ninety. When we go to Lake Powell we sometimes drive and hour or 2 just to find the glass. Just the round trip uses up half my fuel. Seems to make sense to me that you would put larger tanks in these boats not only for range, and need to refuel on a long day, but for weight as well!!!

Anyone with me on this?

duffymahoney 03-15-2010 8:17 PM

Keep the wave pictures coming! I want to see what this boat can do.

westsidarider 03-16-2010 2:21 PM

In about a month I should have some new pics ready to post, NEW DASH included. The next time we get one out were going to re-prop is and really see what this beast can do.

duffymahoney 03-16-2010 3:03 PM

You should get custom enzo type sacs for it.

duffymahoney 03-28-2010 7:36 PM

Any more pictures?

Here's some. I've been told the dash has been revised a couple more times, so this is not going to be the exact dash. I hope to see the final design soon. I wonder what the swim step will look like? Should be another week or two till I get to see the first delivery.

duffymahoney 04-16-2010 2:37 PM

That is one crazy deep boat! Can't wait to see it with custom enzo type surf sacs. I think it's gonna make everything else lame!

rrw71 04-16-2010 3:31 PM

I'm can't wait to do a demo...

That made me stop and stare when I got to that picture. Thats a very deep hull

I agree with the potential for this boat. Especially with that one pic above.

motogod77 04-16-2010 5:43 PM

^^^^^ - Agreed Duffy - I had a demo V226 last year and ran it against an Enzo with the same weight and it does make everything else look lame. Our next one is being built as we speak - can't wait for its arrival!

dennish 04-17-2010 10:04 AM

I heard a rumor that there will be a V226 at the Wake9 wakesurf festival in May.

duffymahoney 04-17-2010 11:06 AM

That would be sweet! Someone really needs to spend some time dialing it in take some notes on weight, location etc....

dennish 04-17-2010 11:17 AM

I think that is the plan before the event. I will be dialing it in hopefully prior to the event.

duffymahoney 04-17-2010 12:43 PM

Sacs or lead? Do you access to an enzo sac? The lockers are much bigger then an enzo but the sac would be a great start.

ralph 04-18-2010 1:20 PM

Love the dash render. If they can make it look like that in reality then they have a winner IMO

bjeremi 04-19-2010 10:37 AM

Anybody have any idea on the wakeboarding wake?

duffymahoney 04-19-2010 10:52 AM

Wakeboarding magazine said it was great. It was included in the reviews edition.

younguns44 04-26-2010 8:58 PM

go with x30

duffymahoney 04-26-2010 9:06 PM

What, X30? This supreme is the deepest boat out. Should be awesome! Any more pictures?

ralph 04-26-2010 9:53 PM

What a Mastecraft X30? Ha ha ha. Great insight, I think you are in the wrong place, try mymastercraft.com.

colombiansurfer 04-27-2010 10:42 AM

Holy **** that wake is huge!!! I have to agree with duffy in that that just might be the largest wake out there for now.

islander033 04-27-2010 11:50 AM

I won't buy into it until it pulls a competition or two and see what the pros think about it.

duffymahoney 04-27-2010 11:57 AM

Yeah for sure. Dennis said on this thread that wake9 might get to test one. I talked to one of the designers and it's deeper then an enzo and the deep part of the hull starts sooner on the boat thus displacing more water. The angles are a mix between an enzo and an avalanche. The designer was also the enzo designer, which is a huge plus in my book. Lockers will hold a 1800 pound enzo type fat sac. At least that's from my measurements. I can't wait to see what this boat can do.

dennish 04-27-2010 3:51 PM

Actually the testing will be done for California Marine Sports in Suisun. They will be using the Supreme to pull their board demos at the Festival.

duffymahoney 04-27-2010 4:54 PM

Are you going to help weight it?

dennish 04-27-2010 7:30 PM

Yes I will be the one weighting it. and getting it dialed in. The festival will be pulled by Tige 2010 RZ2. We have two identical boats coming from the factory one for each side.

desotodave 04-29-2010 8:02 AM

So, what is the deal with this boat. I have seen a couple pictures, it is on their web site, but does not seem like it is readily available? Has anyone actually surfed behind this boat, or seen anything but promotional info? I would like to see a few NON FACTORY people just go out for a day and try it out.

duffymahoney 04-29-2010 8:06 AM

David, I think Dennis is one of the best people out to test this boat. Take lots of pictures and notes. It might be weight sensitive like the Avy?

desotodave 04-29-2010 9:37 AM

Just weird to me that they "launched" the boat in November of 2008 (18 months ago) and we don't really have any good feedback from owners. Did they launch the boat, and then not make any?

From the Supreme website:

2009 will be the most exciting year Supreme Boats has ever embarked on.

The New highly anticipated V226 is completed! The design team developed the V226 from a clean sheet of paper. We now have snap out carpet / swivel drivers seat and a ride that is second to none. The 226 has the deepest V on the market today! Also the V226 has been engineered to have the most stable wake platform ever created with the most advanced styling in the industry. The team of engineers has developed what other companies could not, a 22 ft boat that has more interior room than a 24. We are very proud of our R&D departments' effort in making sure everything is exactly how we wanted it. Schedule your test drive today.

duffymahoney 04-29-2010 9:45 AM

I have talked to a few. Also a wakeboard-surf school in europe has one. Supreme isn't a huge company. I think it will take time, and remember that the last couple of years have been very very tough on the boat manu's. A dealer in Lynnwood WA is getting one. My local dealer also might get one.

desotodave 04-29-2010 11:40 AM

I have also heard rumors about a local dealer getting them, but it all seems so quite. If you have a boat that is the "Boat of the Year" it should be out there and getting more pub. You thinking of getting one?

duffymahoney 04-29-2010 12:08 PM

Well only if I could get enough out of my Avalanche. Maybe next year. I think this design with it's depth will be the new standard. Safer boats for as much weight as we run.

liljohn 04-29-2010 12:31 PM

Does anyone have a contact for the lynwood washington dealer? I live here in the state and have done a few reviews for malibu. I would be more than willing to put one together for the supreme. let me know if anyone has an in.

duffymahoney 04-29-2010 2:41 PM

Lynnwood Motolpex.

425 774 0505

liljohn 04-29-2010 7:07 PM

LMAO! Thanx Duffy I know that much. I was wondering if any one had a personal relationship with one of the people working there. When I did the reviews for Malibu it was spured by a sales man and had to be blessed by the owner. Then when Malibu found out about it we were doing the 23lsv a month later. I will give them a call and see what they have to say.

ragboy 04-29-2010 8:25 PM

Wow, that looks like a nice wake, and a nice boat. Does anyone know what they cost? roughly? Sorry if I am missing it, I know I have been away for a bit.

wakebrdjay 04-30-2010 4:42 AM

There was 1 on Onlyinboards listed at $49,999.00.

liljohn 04-30-2010 8:40 AM

Ok Lynwood moto plex has Email. lets see if they will let us review it!

Ragboy if you do a search you will find that it looks like only 4 have been built or at least I cant find anymore then 4 different gel styles.

desotodave 04-30-2010 12:43 PM

That kind of makes sense that only a few boats have been built. I have looked for one for sale, tried to find pictures etc. but it seems like they don't really exist. I think that is so strange where 18 months ago they were supposedly voted BOAT OF THE YEAR. You would think they would capitalize on that press. I understand the market has tanked, and don't blame them if they put off true production of the boat, just curious about the boat.

Seems like there are a group of people on here who are interested as well, if someone works for Supreme fee free to jump in here and let us all know the scoop!!!

duffymahoney 04-30-2010 12:56 PM

I talked to the ceo. He is suppose to get me more info.

desotodave 04-30-2010 1:06 PM

Funny!! I just called too!

duffymahoney 04-30-2010 2:15 PM

I usually email him. What did he say?
