A friend of mine used to rent a part of his shop to a mechanic and the mechanic stopped paying rent, so he got booted. He left behind a bunch of random stuff, including a rack with 5 KC daylighters on it. They are the chrome version, so they have a little rust, and they are an old style that uses a big bulb that includes the lens and reflector. I can get the new lens/reflector and bulb for all of them for around the same price as a set of two new. Anyone every had any experience rehabing or painting these things? I think if I was able to do that I would either put them on the tower or at least sell them.

sell them.

The daylighters are typically 100 watts per light ( add in low voltage situations and they pull alot of amps) You would have to really beef up the wiring to your tower, not to mention the current draw on those in a perfect environment is probably close to 40-50 amps. In real world expect 50+ amps.
