Never had any experience with the Cells but they definitely look to be good boots and the Lyman is one of my favorite decks. Sweet setup!

Yeah this is my first experience with the cells and I like em. Very stiff which is new for me, but I kind of like the extra support. I have yet to try the lyman on the water so hopefully I will like it. I've ridden the shane for the last few years and decided to switch it up a bit.

Nice looking set up !

bogartsomeday 02-12-2010 1:23 AM

i DIG the snow white!!!!!

n00b 02-12-2010 2:16 AM

I have the same set up, almost, 08 Cells on an 08 Lyman, 2 seasons later and I still love it, though the Cells have lost a lot of their stiffness.
My set is all black but the white looks good.

ironj32 02-12-2010 5:15 AM

Dope. I had that setup last year (not the LTD board though...just the reg Lyman). You'll love it.

bendow 02-12-2010 6:02 AM

I had numerous experiences with the Cells...broken laces after broken laces...

ironj32 02-12-2010 6:50 AM

^^^^^^
lol, way to try to instill some buyers remorse on the guy.

don't worry Vandy, I havent dealt with broken laces with them at all. not saying that it won't or doesn't happen. i've had broken laces with nearly every binding i've ever owned (slingshot, liquid force, obrien...happens to them all). good thing they only cost a buck or two!

hawkeye7708 02-12-2010 8:22 AM

I put some pretty heavy riding on my Cells in the latter half of last season, and in some NASTY cold water too and they are still CRISPY WHITE, fully laced, and thanks to the antimicrobial inside, smell fresher than a field of wake related daisies!!!!!!!

bmr82 02-12-2010 8:27 AM

I have the 09 lyman ltd with 08 Ronix one bindings. Love it. I came from the Ronix one and love the lyman. Very fast and soft on the landings. I like it becuase it is way more loose than the One but holds a good edge when you set it.

tchs22 02-12-2010 3:57 PM

I have the 09 Lyman LTD....got the 09 Shanes CT and putting neon green and orange laces on them....will post up pics when i get laces installed....you will love the lyman BTW

wake_upppp 02-12-2010 5:51 PM

That is nice how they dont smell. Ronix bindings are bad a$$.

justsan 02-12-2010 6:46 PM

dude...the cells won't let you down -cool set up!

bogartsomeday 02-13-2010 12:36 AM

laces can break on any binding, it doesnt matter what brand, laces are laces. All you do is just put some shoes laces on them after the factory ones break and there ya go, good as new! shoe laces tent to hold better anyway

02-13-2010 1:10 AM

Yeah I'm not too worried about the laces. Plus even if they do break it will give me an excuse to throw some neon green laces in there to match the board...

jeff_mn 02-16-2010 12:08 PM

I have the 09' Cells on an 09' CWB Transcend Platty. Sick set up. Report back on the Lyman after some sets. Will be interesting to read!

Congrats.

tchs22 02-16-2010 12:55 PM

hey guys this is my new setup for 2010...09 Lyman LTD with 09 Shane bindings....just finished putting the laces in today!

JT, where did you get the laces from? I'm thinking of switching out mine as well for the green. Are they very hard to switch?

tchs22 02-16-2010 1:53 PM

I looked on amazon and I just got 54" laces, which two laces come with it, cost me $9 for both...and its not hard to switch out the laces...just like when you lace shoes
