First off everyone is ok

did you ever wonder how a Centurion would look if it flew off the trailer hit a concrete median flew over the median and into the other 4 lanes of traffic?

http://www.centurioncrew.com/Weekend-this-t1894.html

Wow...... glad everyone is ok and quite a scene.... crazy.... I would be crying like a little school girl.....

It answer the age old question of do you check on your boat first or make sure everyone is ok?

wakereviews 02-08-2010 3:06 PM

WOW!!! Thank god everyone is okay. That is amazing. If only there was video footage of that boat flying 100 yards!!!

mendo247 02-08-2010 3:06 PM

Thats crazy... What a scene. Thank god everyone is ok.

denverd1 02-08-2010 3:09 PM

Holy ****. I've met Ken and Wakedive before, glad everyone is ok. Crazy wreck.

ship_of_fools 02-08-2010 3:29 PM

WOW! I am glad everyone is OK.

Can you imagine being in the other lane of traffic and watching the boat fly over the median!!

Amazing no one was hurt.

jonyb 02-08-2010 3:30 PM

It was strapped, but I don't think anything would've held that boat on.

Glad to see they're all okay.

The story about the dealer is a story that lots of retailers should read and take to heart. They're dealer went WAY out of the way to help them out. That's going the extra mile.

roomservice 02-08-2010 3:36 PM

I hate it when that happens. Glad you guys are ok.

ctimrun 02-08-2010 3:55 PM

Wow, glad nobody got hurt, that could have been much worse! Hopefully insurance will buy you a new boat!

salty87 02-08-2010 3:58 PM

not to nit-pick but the straps are there to keep the trailer under the boat. as the pics show, they aren't going to keep the boat on the trailer when 'it' really hits the fan like that.

i'd like to see some pics of the hull bottom.

billhall 02-08-2010 4:42 PM

just curious, how fast were each of the cars going when the accident occurred? It said the Cadillac was traveling at a high rate of speed but is that 50 mph or 90 mph? You really have to be haulin to send a boat skidding for that distance and go over a median.

Glad everyone is okay. What a pain that's going to be getting a new truck and boat. Hopefully the insurance companies will make it as easy as possible.

I haven't clicked yet. Do I want to look?

Thats a pretty gnarly wreck. I'm glad that Ken, Andrea and everyone else involved made it out ok. That situation could have gone south in a hurry.

I'm surprised I'm just hearing about it. A couple that I ride with passed them on saturday. I'm now guessing just shortly before the accident.

Bill - that stretch of interstate, in fact just about anywhere on 45 around Houston is filled with people and the majority are in a "rush".

baitkiller 02-08-2010 6:09 PM

Oh man. Glad you are all right. Thats one of the "twins" isn't it?

pretty boat.

bac 02-08-2010 6:43 PM

Thats right John, one of the twins

bill_airjunky 02-08-2010 6:52 PM

And the Caddie was uninsured?!

String'em up!

bcoutsfly 02-08-2010 7:42 PM

Wow! I'll just admit it, I'd break down like a school girl after an event like that.

priszkid 02-08-2010 8:39 PM

andrewjet 02-09-2010 7:10 AM

wwc 02-09-2010 10:15 PM

This is why you put straps on your boat!

tonyv420 02-10-2010 11:04 AM

Wow, I guess time for a new Enzo!! I would have been shedding some tears. Thats a beautiful Centurion.

wakeboardertj 02-10-2010 11:45 AM

Nick, what was the story behind those pics?

wwc 02-10-2010 12:10 PM

Well my buddy and I were heading to a local lake this time of year last year. We were merging on to a single lane bridge. it was in the afternoon so traffic was thick. When we were merging he fined it to get in front of a car and next thing we know traffic was a dead stop on the bridge! He slamed on the breaks and came inches from the car stoped. I felt the truck jerk right when he hit the breaks. When we came to a stop I looked back to see the bow of the boat in the bed of the truck.

the problem was the trailer was not made for the boat. There was only the ratchet where the boat meets the front of the trailer and no straps.
Now he has the bull horns on the front of the trailer and now uses straps.
