ironj32 01-22-2010 7:46 AM

I'm thinking t-minus 63 days till the first MN pull of 2010.

Let the count down begin....

andy_nintzel 01-22-2010 8:56 AM

Hahahaha, Nince Jay, Hows the Bank?

andy_nintzel 01-22-2010 8:57 AM

I think I might go ride at the Boat Show's Rail Jam tonight.

ironj32 01-22-2010 9:02 AM

sweet mang, i think we're gonna go to the show tomorrow. the Bank's going good...might be better or worse next Friday though (performance review meetings...salary, bonuses, etc..).

andy_nintzel 01-22-2010 9:07 AM

Ick! I hate that shiat. If you go to the boat show you should bring your deck, I bet Dougy Fresh would let you ride the Rail Set-up!

snowslider76 01-22-2010 10:00 AM

63? Thats some wishful thinking I like it!! I got 78 on my calanader.

ironj32 01-22-2010 10:06 AM

Yep, that puts us at March 26. Fingers crossed!

snowslider76 01-22-2010 10:15 AM

I'll stand out their with the ice chipper with you can't wait to get the new rig in. I'm thinking Anderson won't be sticking a toe in until about June 1 ha.

Got to see some open water at the show last night, that landing is so tight yikes!!!

tuneman 01-22-2010 10:41 AM

John T. and I are headed to the show tomorrow afternoon. Who's gonna be there?

We should have a contest to see who gets on a lake first

ironj32 01-22-2010 11:01 AM

Chad, you didn't go out on New Years? It was wicked cold this year!

tuneman 01-22-2010 12:16 PM

I skipped it this year. My friend, Dan, went though.

Not all of you know this, but my wife and I have a little wakeboarder on the way (June 8th). I didn't want to risk getting sick or anything and then passing it onto my wife.

I'll be out there next year.

spicychalupa69 01-22-2010 1:07 PM

Holy poop! Congrats Chad!

jeff_mn 01-22-2010 1:57 PM

MN crew checking in. Our crew will be there around 3 or 4 tomorrow Don. Looking forward to the rail session.

LOL @ Anderson not touching the water til June. Poor guy gets picked on even when he's not around to defend himself...

See you guys tomorrow.

dh03r6 01-22-2010 2:47 PM

Just got back, MC and Malibu had some great booths.

richmondrider 01-22-2010 2:50 PM

About time a new Minnesota thread pops up! I'm not gonna make it to the boat show so somebody better take lots-o-pics and vid.

ironj32 01-22-2010 5:32 PM

Mr. Anderson is around, just not at the moment...lucky SOB is out in Aspen shredding the powder at the moment.

trdon 01-22-2010 6:29 PM

The rail jam at 2 today was pretty meh. A couple cool tricks, but worth watching. I have never seen a winch thingy in action. Seeing the hassle of one makes me glad I have a boat. But I guess they have their place in the world for some. That and I talked to a Trophy Lakes designer at the show who confirmed the ses2.0 at new germany starting this year. He did make it seem like it is a gated community and the possibility of a public setup seemed in question.

audionly101 01-22-2010 6:57 PM

How about Jared Allen out helping sling Bu's for MN inboard? What kind of deal did they cut him for hanging out for a few hours???

I'm looking at the first weekend in April... At least the ice will be thin by then right?

nwarhol1105 01-22-2010 7:59 PM

The rail jam tonight was entertaining. I was expecting more people to hit the kicker...it great seeing open water though. Makes me wanna buy stuff I don't need.

ironj32 01-24-2010 5:20 AM

61 days....

mastercraftboarder 01-24-2010 10:50 PM

Count is def earlier this year, just moved onto a lake

jeff_mn 01-25-2010 6:06 AM

What lake?

jeff_mn 01-25-2010 6:06 AM

Medicine? I have a friends who ride that live on the lake. I get out there a half dozen times or so a year.

garveyj 01-25-2010 6:21 AM

Jeff - we really need to look into that dry suit if they are talking 61 days!

andy_nintzel 01-25-2010 11:10 AM

59 Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually was lucky enough to ride a bunch in Cali this winter so far, got another trip coming up in mid feb to ride to!

wakemikey 01-25-2010 12:36 PM

Just moved very near to Medicine lake, hope to make it a regular spot.

jeff_mn 01-25-2010 1:29 PM

My buddy Shawn is on Medicine and his friend Drew are on Medicine. They both have X2's and are out boarding and surfing all the time. I hope to get out on Medicine with them more this year. There are a couple Wakesetters and a Supra or two out there as well.

Our crew rides another local really close there as well.

andy_nintzel 01-25-2010 1:35 PM

SURFING ICK!

snowslider76 01-25-2010 1:57 PM

Waldholm hook me up with some dock rental on Medicine!!

Or lets just surf Bald Eagle 24/7.

spicychalupa69 01-25-2010 2:05 PM

Jason - Im game for surfing the south shore of Bald Eagle 24/7, my boat or yours...or both

lfxstar 01-25-2010 2:17 PM

Nick, that kicker is in the worst spot ever. There is by far not enough room to hit that without risking missing the pool. The rooftop rail looks pretty sick. A lot more stuff probably would have gone down if it was just the rail and not the kicker because I know i would be worried about clocking my face on that thing trying a backlip up it.

trdon 01-25-2010 2:21 PM

Did someone say surfing 24/7 on bald eagle?

jeff_mn 01-25-2010 3:22 PM

We only surf when it's blown out or if it's glass and there is another wakeboat sharing the water.

Let's find out the first time that Nintzel is shooting video on Bald Eagle this spring and have a Wakeworld meet there and surf like 6 boats counter clockwise.

J - I'll talk to Shawn about dock space on Medicine. But if you're pulling up north on the weekends - that's a bad spot with that launch being so shallow. Better off to just keep trying for Fish. Post on Craigslist again. I've seen more slip options there lately. It's getting to be that time.

If any Metro guys are looking slip space in the South Metro - shoot me an e mail. We have a lot of space on Marion for super cheap full year prices.

nwarhol1105 01-25-2010 7:27 PM

I rode bald eagle almost everyday and managed to see andy's x-star out maybe 3 times...I'm not a morning person...at all. I'll have to set a sunrise surf alarm this season.

timmy240 01-25-2010 9:53 PM

Nick is there a red and white hydrodyne on bald eagle?

andy_nintzel 01-26-2010 7:45 AM

Hahahahahahaha, I love how much crap I get for hating Surfing! What really sucks is that surfing is actually super fun, but because I hate on it so much I cannot do it! That's okay cause all in all I would rather wakeskate!

Nick,

You should join the early morning team this summer, Colin Ryan and I are going to be out almost every day at 6am. BUTTER!

jeff_mn 01-26-2010 8:07 AM

6am surf sessions on Bald Eagle all summer!

I'm in

nwarhol1105 01-26-2010 8:58 AM

Tim, I do remember seeing a red hydrodyne on a lift somewhere near the end of the ski course if I remember right...

Andy, I might take you up on that. I got a new hd cam I'm pretty stoked about. You guys rip.

ironj32 01-26-2010 8:59 AM

is Nintzel starting his own countdown? you're a day off homie!

59 days....

andy_nintzel 01-26-2010 9:16 AM

Those dude with the Hydrodyne used to ride all the time, kinda backed off in the last few years.

Jay I am at work, YUCK!

wakemikey 01-26-2010 9:39 AM

Would love to get out with some of you guys this summer Jeff and Nick

trdon 01-26-2010 11:07 AM

No love for me anymore mikey?

richmondrider 01-26-2010 11:59 AM

Jay, did those sacks work out for you? I still have the straps for them sitting in my vehicle if you need them. I'll have to get to the cities this summer and ride with you guys, hopefully I have more free time this year.

timmy240 01-26-2010 12:52 PM

I sold that boat a few years back, I knew the guy was from the WBL area. just wondering what lake.

spicychalupa69 01-26-2010 12:58 PM

Don - its all you and me homie...cuz I may be boatless, and in AZ, shoot!

andy_nintzel 01-26-2010 1:57 PM

Check out this Hydrodyne!!!

trdon 01-26-2010 2:34 PM

You gonna be back in MN thie summer or spring big E?

spicychalupa69 01-26-2010 2:40 PM

I sure hope so, it really all depends which direction I take with my studies. I am seriously looking to sell my boat beginning in April. I could end up as close as Lacrosse, WI, and as far as AZ or Loma Linda California...so, it all depends which road Im offered and which road I pick

But Ill be sure to save some time for some epic surfing sessions on Bald Eagle (goal - Have Andy Surf with us at least once) and some time to kick it with Sophie and LizDon and the SANTE!

PS - come snow kiting with me sometime Don! Im out two or three times a week!

wakemikey 01-26-2010 3:41 PM

Don that is a given I am gonna be your boat rat next summer until I hurt myself again. Eder where do you kite? Can I try?

spicychalupa69 01-26-2010 4:09 PM

Mike - Depends on the wind direction, right now I've been kiting White Bear, Pleasant and Turtle. You sure can

ironj32 01-26-2010 6:07 PM

Yo Jacob! The sacs are great! Thanks again for the hookup. Don't worry about the straps...not necessary. Let me know if/when you make it to the cities. I'm living in Long Lake, so not all that far from you.

trdon 01-26-2010 7:44 PM

I actually have a job coming up in the next 2 weeks. I got hooked up down at the wastewater treatment plant as maintenece. I should be set for a while down there untill I cant stand the smell lol.

mastercraftboarder 01-27-2010 7:42 PM

Wow, thread grew since last visit, I moved to eagle lake. Havent rode it yet , looked at a topo map of it tho. Anybody been? Lookin for some input...

(Message edited by mastercraftboarder on January 27, 2010)

ironj32 01-28-2010 6:15 AM

Eagle Lake in Maple Grove?

dh03r6 01-28-2010 6:54 AM

Will somebody tell me honestly, was last summer colder then normal?

sinkoumn 01-28-2010 7:06 AM

^It was, and more windy than normal too

ironj32 01-28-2010 7:42 AM

wayyyyy colder than normal!

dh03r6 01-28-2010 7:50 AM

I need one more to know its true, but i'm feeling better about it.

snowslider76 01-28-2010 7:54 AM

Way cold!! I didnt ditch the heater top until July.

jeff_mn 01-28-2010 8:33 AM

lol @ heater top in July.

pansy.

andy_nintzel 01-28-2010 11:24 AM

Hell yeah last summer was colder than normal the water really never got that warm.

jeff_mn 01-28-2010 11:26 AM

Water was the warmest of all season in September. Wild.

wakemikey 01-28-2010 11:50 AM

last summer sucked for temps! Only two days in 90s until September!

lil_braswell 01-28-2010 1:17 PM

What up everyone? While I am stoked to get on a wakeboard I was just in Aspen and we got 4-10 every night and there are plenty of untouched stuff in the trees. It was a great and I am headed back to CO next weekend. If you feel like a shut in from the cold go out west! Now that I am back in MN I might not even ride this season. It has to be 115 with 80 degree water like AZ before I get in.

jeff_mn 01-28-2010 2:09 PM

What happen to you Ryan?

mastercraftboarder 01-28-2010 5:19 PM

yes, in Maple grove... anybody been there? I ts not a very public lake, but it has a launch.

mastercraftboarder 01-28-2010 5:22 PM

Is there such thing as a glass dance? Similar to a rain dance, only for glassy lakes...

whirli_7 01-28-2010 7:46 PM

I've been to eagle in Maple Grove. Nice lake with little traffic

trdon 01-28-2010 8:52 PM

Jordan, screw the glass dance, we need a major monsoon for at least one year. I would be fine sacrificing a lot of the year to get a ton of rain and bring the lakes back up to a normal level like I remember them 6 years ago.

jeff_mn 01-29-2010 6:01 AM

My sister used to live on Little Eagle. Pretty small but there was glass all the time on that lake. We used to ski it back in the day.

tuneman 01-29-2010 7:03 AM

Eder, can I try some kiting

Don, congrats on the new job!

Ryan, you make me jealous talking about all that snow. With a newborn on the way, we had to postpone our usual trip out west. On another note: Did you turn into a wimp living in AZ??

snowslider76 01-29-2010 7:32 AM

Anderson I'll be happy to p in your drysuit should make the water temp feel about 98.6 for you

spicychalupa69 01-29-2010 9:00 AM

Chadillac! Of course my man...you guys need to call me so we can go out on a windy weekend day!!! :-D

mastercraftboarder 01-29-2010 1:18 PM

truth to the need of a monsoon... you think Thailand will trade us for theirs?

spicychalupa69 01-30-2010 9:15 PM

I'll be kiting the bear tomorrow am, Mathomedi beach. Come say hi if you'd like to!

element8456 01-30-2010 9:30 PM

Eder let me know know how the snow conditions are out there. Thanks Jack

(Message edited by element8456 on January 30, 2010)

spicychalupa69 01-30-2010 9:35 PM

Im not expecting anything too good Jack, but I'll report back. We're in need of some snow asap!

mastercraftboarder 02-01-2010 5:41 AM

I don't want to be negative, but I just can't realisticly see 52 days as the ice, at least on my lake, melting. I'd love to know the condition of some others though.

shawnz21 02-02-2010 12:48 PM

I was out ice fishing on Sunday and there is 24-30 inches of ice on Medicine. Looking bleak for 51 days.

ironj32 02-02-2010 3:34 PM

you guys forget that we have three major rivers in the metro...they will be free of ice long before any lakes (at least the Minnesota and the Mississippi. the St. Croix tends to stay frozen a little longer). you just gotta get out on them before the major melting begins, because the water rises in a hurry!
