I am finalizing my orders for Malibu and would love your input on color schemes. sometimes as dealers we get lost in the " Safe Color" mode and do not think outside the box. Any new ideas would be great.

IMO... <BR> <BR>Blacks and greys are great. <BR>Tans and browns are awful. <BR> <BR>Vibrant colors should be kept simple like this... <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752348.jpg" alt="cc">

I'd like to see this too.

having the deck constantly in white gets old, I ordered my new boat with a black deck, but some solid colours would be a nice change, blue, grey, I ordered black.....anyone agree?

wakedad33 12-19-2009 8:42 PM

I'm not really a blue guy but this one looked nice in person. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752433.jpg" alt="Upload">

brett564 12-20-2009 7:34 AM

I agree with GD. I also like hulls being white on the bottom, so they don't show gravel and rock dings as easily as other colors.

dru1974 12-20-2009 8:24 AM

Yes on the bottom, but the deck is the top

spherren 12-20-2009 9:25 PM

I love this scheme! I'm not sure who's boat but I found it on here! <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752525.jpg" alt="Upload">

wakebrdjay 12-21-2009 8:42 AM

That's for sale at a dealer,I think that's what it says in the thread it was posted in.

jonyb 12-21-2009 9:06 AM

I;ve got a boat with black and gray in it. The grey is fine, but gets hotter than you think in the sunlight. The black is awful for maintenance. I've said I'll never own another black vehicle, and that goes for boats as well. <BR> <BR>Personally, the blue on the Malibu's is my favorite. I like the schemes simple....

wakebrdjay 12-21-2009 9:35 AM

I have an almost all black boat, had an all white one before it.I don't notice much difference in the getting hot part, but the maintenance is another story.I can say black forces you to take care of your boat or it will look like crap after one outing.Black gel looks so great when it's kept up.

Bret, the Sunscape 23 and Sunscape 247 from the 2009 brochure are 2 of the best looking boats I have seen. I would avoid the wakesetter graphic as much as possible as well. That graphic will be out dated by February. Go clean and simple.

polarbill 12-21-2009 9:58 AM

Here are a couple pics of the 23 and 247 I am talking about. I actually thought the 247 pictured was black and red but I guess it is navy and red. I think subbing the navy with black would make a killer looking boat. <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752558.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752559.jpg" alt="Upload">

wakeride26 12-21-2009 10:15 AM

Polarbill- We have that exact 247 on our lake and I happen to have a boat very similar to the bottom one on order. I miss not being able to do the color matched towers, as it adds so much to the look of the boat.We have this boat in stock.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752562.jpg" alt="Upload">

polarbill 12-21-2009 10:19 AM

That looks good, but would look really good without the wakesetter graphic. It is too bad they got rid of the Illusion and Illusion XS. That boat would look better with a gloss black tower. White boats like the one I posted look a ton better with a white tower.

cjh1669 12-21-2009 10:24 AM

I personally love my color scheme<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752567.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752568.jpg" alt="Upload">

Wakesetter lines are sure ugly these days.

big_b_21v 12-21-2009 11:25 AM

Bret, Love that last color scheme....Looks familiar. Im glad we went with the 2009 and the XS tower. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752575.jpg" alt="Upload">

Brady, that looks great. The XS tower looks much better.

a dark blue with sparkle with black looks really good on the lake when its sunny

koop 12-22-2009 7:48 AM

I like the look of the orange and green options malibu has available but opted for a simple white and black. Worried about retail with "loud" colours! My first boat, so I wanted something I could sell later. Sorry no water shots.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752706.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/752707.jpg" alt="Upload">

Brady needs to add the A-Team Van as his tow vehicle and then he's set. Looks sweet!
