For those who have them. I have an opportunity to score a Z-5 rack for my new boat and a very very great price (about half price of what my local dealer wants). The rack has some fading to the plastic connectors on top and the velcro straps from some sun exposure at the dealership. Is this a concern or just cosmetic. I was sent 12 pics of the race and the rack itself looks great as far as the canvas goes, just the little tid bits are slightly faded. Thanks for comments.

Can you see the rack in person. That will be the true test. Pictures are nice but they hide alot of stuff. I would want to see it up front and personal.
No can do, I'm in Texas and the rack is in Florida
I have the Z5 on my Supra, they are awesome. You can always have a new canvas made/ordered for it. The plastic connectors could also be replaced. I believe brand new they run about $2,400. And in my opinion worth every penny.

If you have some pics that would also be nice to see the extent of the sun damage.

make sure it is for your exact boat.....they are different for the different towers....if it is from say a moomba lsv or any supra it will be very difficult to make it work on your boat........you should however be able to get any necessary replacement parts very easily from Z5.....
Andrew - It's from a Supra and will fit on the Moomba XLV. The dealer (might I add a very respected dealer/owner) actually took the Z5 off the Supra and installed it on the XLV and sent me the pics. Also, spoke to the owner of Z5 who said it would work. Thanks for lookin out though. Nice thing is the Supra Z5 rack is shaped much nicer than the Moomba Z5

(Message edited by you_da_man on November 17, 2009)

well thats legit i guess i sell supra/moomba as well and the one time i tried it it was no where near close to fitting......they are a great option though i just like my tower forward more for the head room, the Z5 sits a little low for me especially if have tower speakers that it has to sit under.......
^^^In the case with the 08 XLV tower, the edge of the Z5 and the back of the speaker cans will be close but enough clearance.

Here's a pic of the Supra Z5 on a Moomba XLV

^^^^Looks really far forward...
Cal - Here's another angle. Also, here's a link to a member selling his 08 XLV with a Z5. Looks the same http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/8/745433.html?1258393999

(Message edited by you_da_man on November 17, 2009)

Where is it in Florida? If its close I will check it out for you.
It's in Orlando
Aaaah, much better angle. Still looks like it may be 6" or so further forward than the Z5 is on my Supra, but does not look as far forward as the first pic. Go for it. The Z5 is my favorite accessory...
Cal - I hear what you're saying on the angle/position of the Rack. Just got a call from the dealer and he said the owner of Z5 is going to look at it and see if possibly other sized mounting arms would move it into a slightly better position. I'm still going to get this rack. Thanks for the replies.

you can totaly trust this Orlando Supra/Moomba dealer.
That's just cosmetic. I have been using the same Z5 for 3 years and it has the same fading, and it get's used! It's fine, get it.
I'm with Travis, I have had mine since 07 and it has some fading as well and nothing is wrong with it. I can tell you this, the guys at Z5 are great to deal with. If you have any issues they will go out of their way to help you, maybe not give you anything free, but wont knock your head off with a high price.
Sunbrella material is very good, my top is two years old and has no fading but I keep my boat in the garage when not being used.

I am surprised a Supra Z5 will fit on the Moomba because of the beam width difference, the Supra 22-24's have a 100-102" beam.
^^^it's actually off a 2009 21 World's Addition
You can adjust were the clamps sit. I followed the directions on my boat and it, to me, sat too low and too far forward. I relocated the clamps and now it sits perfect. Get the Z5 top. You will not regret it.
its by far the best/most functional bimini ive ever used. go for it. you wont regret it
Z5 is a great rack and the customer service from this company is top notch!
