Just got it unwrapped in the driveway today. Still waiting for speakers, lights, bimini, etc., but I thought I'd share some pics... <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731649.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731650.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731651.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731652.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731653.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731654.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731655.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731656.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731657.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731658.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731659.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731660.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731661.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731662.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731663.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731664.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731665.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731666.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731667.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731668.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731669.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731670.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731671.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731672.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731673.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731674.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731675.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731676.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731677.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731678.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731679.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731680.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731681.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731682.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731683.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731684.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731685.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731686.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731687.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731688.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731689.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/731690.jpg" alt="Upload">

wakeviolater 09-04-2009 3:25 PM

heey there baby! what's your name?

johnny_jr 09-04-2009 3:25 PM

BEAUTIFUL!

innov8 09-04-2009 3:31 PM

Nice and Clean, Nice boat Dave, congrats. <BR> <BR>That Trailer is so sick!!

jarrod 09-04-2009 3:32 PM

Wow that thing is pimp! Luxurious and elegant. That's the nicest looking boat I've seen. <BR> <BR>Can't wait to see it with speakers on the tower and a bimini to see if I really like the tower or not. From some angles the look is fresh and cutting edge. From others I'm not so sure, but I think it will grow on me. <BR> <BR>Nice, Dave! What kind of speakers are you getting?

wakeworld 09-04-2009 3:34 PM

It's one of the less-popular brands, but I hear that they can hang with the top names. They're called "whatever they send me." <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>

gwperry2 09-04-2009 3:38 PM

That thing is sweet I think I like the tower the chrome makes it pop. White makes it look super clean I even like the wake setter on the side helps break it up a little. Very Niiiiiiiccccccceeeeee

dakid 09-04-2009 3:41 PM

you had me at hello.

clayton191 09-04-2009 3:41 PM

so glad they abandoned the carpet <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

wakeworld 09-04-2009 4:06 PM

The carpet is coming, but it's snap-in carpet now.

jaybee 09-04-2009 4:10 PM

That is a beautiful boat.

michaelspsp 09-04-2009 4:10 PM

i have to say.....SWEET. GL

nj_alex 09-04-2009 5:04 PM

Boat and trailer; friggin' beautiful.

wakekat15 09-04-2009 5:20 PM

WOW!!! That is one SWEET ride! Might as well spill some grape kool-ade and put a scratch on there to get it over with! ;-D Very Nice!

wakeworld 09-04-2009 5:33 PM

Kids are in it right now playing "captain," so I'm sure the scratches are coming!

john211 09-04-2009 5:40 PM

YIKES. Very nice. And I had to take my brand-owner goggles off to squint harder at those pics. <BR> <BR>(Note to self: there's not just the brand I bought into but multiple worthy brands.)

priszkid 09-04-2009 6:14 PM

Dang- that's a GREAT lookin set up!

wakemetoday 09-04-2009 6:16 PM

SWEET!!!!!

pc_sledge 09-04-2009 6:18 PM

Malibu will win some over by adding the removable carpeting. Seems silly but if you've never had it it's a huge deal. SWEET ride.

ralph 09-04-2009 6:21 PM

Wow, beautiful. I drove an 09 a few months ago, staggered at how such a big boat performs.

tj_in_kc 09-04-2009 6:38 PM

i think the snap-out carpet is the biggest improvement on the boat. is wish my bu had that. <BR> <BR>Also, the new tower is still a little tough for me. is it one of those things when you see it in person it looks a lot better?? <BR> <BR>i love the Maliview also.

bruizza 09-04-2009 6:45 PM

Beautiful Boat and Trailer! What size are those rims on the trailer?

norcalbordr 09-04-2009 6:48 PM

So sick. The 2010 tower is gonna take some getting used to for me though. But the original Illusion tower took about a summer for me to like as well when it first came out and now I love it. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by norcalbordr on September 04, 2009)

wakeworld 09-04-2009 7:02 PM

I used to think snap-in carpet was the dumbest thing in the world. Then you get your boat really wet a few weekends in a row and it starts smelling funny and you think, "I've got too much carpet in there soaking up water!" This will be my first time without full carpeting and I'm looking forward to it. I also like the fact that there is no carpet in the rear storage. That way you don't have to worry about mildew under your ballast as much. It's flat plastic with drainage, so that's nice. The one drawback is when I take the racks off and I want to put them somewhere while I drive. It would be nice to have carpet under at least one seat so that fragile stuff like that doesn't slide around when traveling. I'll probably add some EVA grip in there somewhere to make up for that.

h2ohangtime 09-04-2009 7:12 PM

You are a baaaaaaad man! Nice job, David.

wakeworld 09-04-2009 7:26 PM

I think the wheels on the trailer do a nice job of matching up with the tower. I didn't really think the black trim would look as good as all-white, but now I'm a believer. Thanks to the folks over at BoatMate for hooking up those wheels. That was very cool of them! The trailer even has runway-style LED's so you can put the boat on at night! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

nick_in_ssp 09-04-2009 7:27 PM

Nicest boat I've ever seen.

wakeworld 09-04-2009 7:27 PM

Rims are 18". I was thinking about getting some for my truck to match.

09-04-2009 8:04 PM

David you are going to LOVE this boat, we just picked up a 2009 and I was so impressed with the wake with just the stock ballast and wedge, hope you enjoy it!

juniorhawk 09-04-2009 8:07 PM

As usual you wind up with one of the baddest Malibus on the water. I miss the white tower on the 09 but that thing is amazing. Congratulations and enjoy, David. It looks incredible.

czap 09-04-2009 8:26 PM

Malibu is steppin it up! like usual of course.. Im lovin all the new user friendly options they have now, i.e. no carpet in the compartments, snap in carpet, trailer runway lights, platform locks, etc. not to mention the stuff they innovated in recent years. Pretty sick! <BR> <BR>David, you could get some carpet from home depot or somethin and cut it to fit in the compartments you will keep your racks in.. just a thought.

wakemitch 09-04-2009 8:38 PM

Dave, that boat looks soooo good.

raynegrl 09-04-2009 8:52 PM

OK, that was pure torture - I'm drooling! May I have one of those, please? <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>

blabel 09-04-2009 9:26 PM

That is one yummy lookin boat Dave.

nuckledragger 09-04-2009 9:29 PM

The white accent stitching on the black vinyl is sick!!!! <BR> <BR>Dave, I knew you were going to get a boat to match your Custom Graphic Boardshorts. I have extra markers if you want your daughter to get crazy on those white seats.

bdavis 09-04-2009 10:52 PM

Nice Dave! I've got tower envy, well actually I'm completely green right now.

helix_rider 09-05-2009 4:23 AM

Wow...she is lovely. I too will need some time staring at the tower to adjust my likes/dislikes. Anyone notice how the Wakesetter sticker looks like its slanting down a little? Is that so when it sits in the water 'rear' heavy it looks straight?

goinbigg17 09-05-2009 7:55 AM

Dave, it appears that my boat was dropped off in your driveway....that thing is awesome!

tripsw 09-05-2009 8:48 AM

Damn that's pretty!

hatepain 09-05-2009 11:21 AM

Damn thats nice...totally flossed out.

dohboy 09-05-2009 12:07 PM

Malibus got some nice features there with the lock instead of pins for the swim deck, the step through platform. Is that a pop up nav light in the front. Thats clean.

wakeworld 09-05-2009 12:24 PM

Yes, the front light pops up.

baschralper 09-05-2009 1:30 PM

Wow....when did they go back to the old Morse throttle? Is the boat still fly-by-wire Dave?

bstphen24 09-05-2009 3:33 PM

Glad to see the old throttle. I was not a fan of the neutral release button on top of the other style.

lfadam 09-05-2009 4:55 PM

sick!!! so glad they got snap in carpet now. New tower is crazy, I think I like it though. Stil havent ridden the new hull, but I bet its sick!

sippi 09-05-2009 5:21 PM

My Gawd!!! That's so fine! I LOVE the little things about this boat like the white stitchin on the black vinyl/leather (looks like leather) on the dash...reminds me of high end sports cars. The new tower is definitely gonna take some getting used to, I'm curious to see what it looks like with speakers and Bimini. The "wakesetter" decal I think they could have done a better job with. It does look a bit higher in the back but I bet it looks good on the water. The "wake" font looks smaller than "setter". I'm sure that was on purpose but that's THE only thing that I could nit pick about (and that's diggin to find something). AWESOME BOAT!!

boardn197 09-05-2009 9:57 PM

Dave, <BR>Love the boat, but why did Malibu switch back to the old school throttle? My '09 is much easier than the older/new again version.

tcaz 09-05-2009 9:58 PM

Love the boat, congrats on it! I find it funny though how whenever the "malibu 2010, spy photos" thread came out, it was nearly all negative comments and bashing but when you post this everyone all the sudden has a change of heart. Anyways, it looks great and appreciate all the pictures. Bet you can't wait to baptize it!

wakeworld 09-05-2009 10:17 PM

Not sure why they went back to the old throttle, but I'm glad they did cuz my last one hurt my thumb after a long day of driving.

fullonsalesgrp 09-06-2009 6:22 AM

Dave she looks great to bad they didn't white out the tower. <BR>You are the luckiest man alive.......... <BR>ITCH

rorowake 09-06-2009 6:46 AM

They went back to the old throttle this year because it is a new transmission. This is not a digital throttle anymore- back to throttle cable. Took a bit of getting used to after being used to the responsiveness of the digital throttle. After driving it for the past week, I'm used to it again and lovin it!

amo 09-06-2009 12:31 PM

bling bling......love the white. new tower looks cool too.

srh00z 09-06-2009 4:29 PM

That is nice. I like the new tower, but I do want to see it fully dressed. Is the walk through on the swim platform new? I am going to do something like that down the road one day if I ever have to have interior work done.

watson_134_lf 09-06-2009 8:13 PM

ouch, that hurt my eyes its so bright!!!

pearsonville 09-08-2009 9:09 AM

Friggin Beautiful Dave... no one on the river right now... we are leaving around noon today to go home... Aloha Joe 12 B

stewart 09-08-2009 10:00 AM

That is one awesome BU! I am digging the tower and the fiberglass flooring. <BR> <BR>congrats!

stewart 09-08-2009 10:02 AM

Dave, whats up with the lock on the Power Wedge? Is that new for 2010?

sidekicknicholas 09-08-2009 10:06 AM

The locks look to be on the swim platform

dudeman 09-08-2009 10:21 AM

So fine I wish she were mine. Congrats.

stewart 09-08-2009 10:52 AM

Nick, <BR> <BR>Your right. That is a way better system than on the 06's, etc. I just had my brackets replaced. They both broke at the welds. Metcraft did the warranty just a week before they disappeared. Very cool.

slipknot 09-08-2009 11:40 AM

wow, wow, wow! <BR> <BR>congrats!

brucemac 09-08-2009 1:02 PM

sweet ride dave. congrats.

supraride 09-08-2009 1:25 PM

Dave, That boat is beautiful. Very Very nice indeed. I love the colors <BR>Nice and clean.

lfrider92 09-08-2009 1:27 PM

shouldnt this be in the boat section? <BR>hahahaha<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>but seriously, that thing is gorgeous

ndavis03 09-08-2009 1:30 PM

Congrats. The boat looks great. It makes my 07 look dated. The bow grab rails look nice that low, the dash and stitching look like pure luxury, the glove box looks very functional, I wish I had snap-in carpet, and the locks on the swim platform are genius. Enjoy.

alans 09-08-2009 1:44 PM

That is the nicest Malibu I have ever seen, for sure. Owen at Boatmate makes a super nice trailer, something we have really been enjoying on the East Coast.

fatsac 09-08-2009 2:56 PM

Boats have come a long way! Gorgeous but not a huge fan of the Wake Setter logo. Other than that; perfecto.

burbanized 09-08-2009 4:01 PM

Sweet Badass MALIBU BOATS

wakeworld 09-08-2009 8:38 PM

Yeah, that BoatMate trailer is sicky sick (yeah, I coined that)!! I just hooked it up and took some pics as it was getting dark. Hard to see the runway lights, but they're there in the last pic. Forgot to take a pic of the reverse lights. This is the first trailer I've ever seen with actual reverse lights! <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732748.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732749.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732750.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732751.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732752.jpg" alt="Upload">

ralph 09-08-2009 8:46 PM

How long until you test the wake out? I've heard some people thought the new hull wasn't as good as the old one but when I had a demo ride behind a 09 I was super impressed.

wakeworld 09-08-2009 8:49 PM

Any day now. Just waiting for a few more pieces to the puzzle! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

rorowake 09-08-2009 9:24 PM

Yea... I'm still waiting for all my accessories, too Dave. As far as the wake goes... I've heard the same- however I personally like it better than the '08 hull's wake- both the '09 and '10. <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732766.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732767.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/732768.jpg" alt="Upload">

byrd 09-09-2009 5:25 AM

Nice Boat. By far the nicest BU I have ever seen. Road trip it to FL and we'll help with the break over for the next 5-6 months, lol...

mattgettel 09-09-2009 5:54 AM

cleeeeean!

pearsonville 09-09-2009 7:34 AM

I hope you pull wakeboarders more than tubers with this one. Ha Ha...

buzz_grande 09-09-2009 9:45 AM

Daman Dave! They just keep on getting better. Definately the nicest looking boat I have ever seen. Love the white. Unfortunately, next year when I get my new one, it may look a LOT like yours. I was hoping for snap out carpet. I am sure you will like in the long run. From Extreme to Boatmate. Bad-a$$ trailer/lights/wheels. WOW! I would just be towing that baby around town all day. Hit the beach, Gaslamp, etc. Hope to see it soon NEIGHBOR! Damn! Not gonna sleep now. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>

wakeworld 09-09-2009 11:21 AM

We only tube when we see you on the water Joe. My kids love watching you ride, so when they see you behind the boat, they insist on hooking up the tube to get a closer look. Of course, I indulge them every time!! <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>

gti2lo 09-09-2009 12:05 PM

Looks good! <BR> <BR>Fibreglass liner too!

dreevs 09-09-2009 12:40 PM

YEAH - Malibu finally got snap in carpetting HOORAY!! I love the boat Dave - I remember reading that Malibu added a saltwater package to it in the Spy Thread. Curious - Is that a painted galvanized trailer - if so, I am headed back to Malibu!!

stephan 09-09-2009 3:27 PM

That boat is boat is incredible. No adjectives do it justice!! Well played Dave! <BR> <BR>Not that I'd change anything but I can't help but think how sick that WS logo would look if it were big and went from top deck to the waterline and you got rid of the "Wakesetter". Maybe set it right in front of the windshield. Just dreaming...
