This might be a long shot but here it goes.....

Does anyone on here ride the Napa river and need a third. Ya the river is kind of dirty but I have ridden it before and it isnt all that bad. Saw someone leaving the river the other day and hopefully you guys are on wakeworld.

Napa river is great we used to ride the sloughs back in 1994-1998....yes dirty but good water!

liquidforce512 05-18-2009 1:20 PM

wcr 05-18-2009 6:14 PM

I didnt even know u could ride the Napa River...where do u launch from?

liquidforce512 05-18-2009 8:42 PM

There are a couple spots. I used to go out when I had my old boat. Cant bring myself to put my 210 in there. There are 3 free launches that I know of. One is out in Kennedy park, one downtown past the library and another out at moors landing out in los coneros on cuttings warf road. I have ridden petaluma river, the delta and the napa river. The Napa river is not that bad. It was alot of fun.

Here are some pics of the river and where we launched from.

ollieshuvitz 05-18-2009 11:12 PM

that boat on the davits in the last pic wouldnt be half bad for skating either haha.

ntoscani 05-18-2009 11:17 PM

out by the warf in carneros is awsome if the wind isn't coming through hard. Hard to find guys the launch in there though.

liquidforce512 05-18-2009 11:30 PM

Nick were you at a wedding recently in Napa. My buddy said he talked to someone that is on wakeworld named nick. His name is Steve and he owns a skate shop in napa.

There are just too many days were I dont have time to drive all the way to berryessa to ride and i LOOK OUT AND THE RIVER IS JUST GLASS. Its killing me.

project 05-19-2009 11:56 AM

if i had a boat i'd be ridin right now. i live 30 sec from the launch ramp at cuttings wharf

ollieshuvitz 05-19-2009 12:18 PM

is the river mainly fresh water or brakish?

walt 05-19-2009 5:38 PM

Ollie,
It's a tidal river and mostly salt. It might be brackish during the winter though.

It's butter just about every time I drive over it on my way to the delta during the winter.

liquidforce512 05-19-2009 6:20 PM

Its brackish all the time but always glass. Just got done riding berryessa and got blown out by noon. Would have saved alot of time and money to just ride the river today.

ntoscani 05-19-2009 6:31 PM

Skillings. It may save travel time, but think about the extra time in cleaning the boat after that water. (Not fun)

liquidforce512 05-19-2009 10:00 PM

That is exactly why I wont put my boat in there. I figured if someone on here actually rides the river they probably need a third. Not to many people want to ride in there.

walt 05-20-2009 7:49 AM

Skillings,
Did I ride with you up at Mendo over the winter with Blake ?

liquidforce512 05-20-2009 10:25 AM

Yes you did Walt. Hows it going?

walt 05-20-2009 11:15 AM
