I'm lookin to upgrade the sacs in my 03 Supra launch to the GG sacs. Gosh they are expensive and it would be much cheaper at least for the rears to pick up some 750s. I've read threads that suggest both ways are fine. Someone said with the 750s, they get a lot of bulging and stress, others have said that they have had no problems with the 750s in those rear compartments. I'm trying to save a little money because all the things I want to do are beyond my upgrade budget, so saving a few hundo would allow for some other things I want to do. But I also don't want to buy too big of sacs and have problems. input?

If they are bulging just empty a little weight, unless I'm not getting the issue here.... it seems like a stupid problem if someone complained about that.

I thought most people with Supra's were putting stock front sac's in the rear and then putting a Front GG sac in front.

I do not think that the stock front sac would fit in the rear--way too long

the 750's bulge and bend the rear panels on the older supra's ( pre 07). Even if you dont; fill them all the way they will still ruin the rear panels. Bent "plastic" wasn't that big of an issue for me. If yrou really anal about your boat it will bug you.

as long as it doesn't affect the bag at all or break anything in the boat, I don't care if it bends and bulges. <BR> <BR>What fittings will I need if I go with the 750s? I understand the ggs just swap right out with factory setup, but the 750s have a different fitting. I see plug, etc on the bag, but do I need to buy a piece to attach to my hoses?

On my supra 21v the rear compartments have a opening in the front that lets the bag run under the seats so you can run a stock front bag in the rear.

On my 03, there is an aluminum support that prevents the side panel from really bending too much--I never noticed anything out of whack in the compartments back there--for fittings, I upgraded all of mine to new fittings and I only had to change the top fittings on the sacks to 90 degree style or the hose would pull out of the bag when full--new fittings solved the problem--also, like mikebu stated, the rear bags will run under the rear seats --on my 03, i had to remove the front panel on the drivers side to do this, the passenger side did not have one to remove--

so it sounds like maybe the 750s will work, how do you guys weight for surf? center gg and surfside bag full? Or should I have them all full and add another 750 inside the boat on surfside? Would that be too much?

Hey phil, I just bought the same boat. Do your bags have 2 or 3 hoses hooked up to them? I've never dealt with plumbed ballast before, but I've always assumed there would be fill line, empty line, and overflow line. I know on my cousins Moomba when the bags are full the water spits out the sides of the boat. When I removed my bags there were only 2 hoses hooked up. Just curious how that works. I guess one to fill and one to empty, but what if the bag is too full from filling where does that exit?

I purchased one of the GG 565# sacs for my surf side on my 2002 ssv but I am waiting until spring to try it. The storage area measured 43"x24"x19" so the 42"x19"x19" should fit nicely. <BR> <BR>I only have the stock 600# sac up front. Hopefully it will be heavy enough for good surf wake.

adam is right when bag is full it just drains through the empty hose. u need to leave on plug in each sac.

John--I did have that sack in the front and it worked great--but I upgraded because more is better--right?--Jeremy, you do have to watch how full the bags get--my rear sacks will start to push open the compartments when they are full--opening the cover is always a good idea during the process too. I do have only 2 hoses. Here are some more(bad) pics from the summer--hard to drive and get a good pic but the spotters pics were much worse than these.

Buy the 750s online, you'll save a ton of money. They won't fill 100%, but it'll be more weight than the GG's. <BR> <BR>I just got the 750s at the end of last season. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm assuming I can get 600-650 out of them. Just be careful when filling, i'm not sure what kind of stresses the bag could put on the smaller compartment.

Do you guys use your old 250# sacs for extra ballast on the floor or seats? Do you see any problems with doing this? If I purchase the GG center bag I could use the old 600# sac on the floor of the surf side.

I use any and all ballast available to me. If you've got extra bags, fill that up.

I got rid of the old sacks--I do not like floor clutter--I bought my sacks online from <a href="http://www.lakeeffectsupply.com" target="_blank">www.lakeeffectsupply.com</a> --no one could touch their price at that time--not sure about now--and they set me up with the fittings I needed without an issue
