Does anybody know if the Mastercraft Zero Flex Tower suffers problems in a salt water environment, such as pitting, corrosion and something like that?

I wouldn't think so.

The tower shouldn't have any problems. The tower is brushed and then coated aluminum. If you want something that will hold up for sure check out the <a href="http://www.titanwake.com/products/titan-wakeboard-towers/titan-series-ii-wakeboard-tower" target="_blank">Titan Series II Stainless Steal Tower</a>. That would be your best bet for salt water.
