whats the deal on the 08 ricky g bindings? whats the fit comparable to? i wear a shoe size 9.5 but when i rode the 08 ronix ones the 9 felt too big so i had to ride an 8.

STICK WITH YOUR SHOE SIZE FOR GATOR BINDINGS

broke09 11-07-2008 3:26 PM

so a 10?

to_blind 11-07-2008 3:31 PM

YEAH, SORRY MAN, I KINDA FORGOT THAT PART. I WEAR A SIZE 10.5 SHOE AND HAVE SIZE 10 GATOR BINDINGS, SO YOU SHOULD PROB. STICK WITH A 9. THEY ARE A FAIRLY SOFT AND MOLDABLE BOOT SO YOU SHOULD BE GOOD.

Try them on first, then you'll know.

i don't think thats an option, but if it is then of course, try them on.

I got mine in the mail last week and they are amazing, I can't wait to ride with em. They feel like supportive yet aren't too still. very to get in and out. i ended up keeping the 8-9's I have a new pair of 10'2 in the box for sale if any one wants them

I bought a pair of these last week and just received them today. They are very comfortable and I think they could be great bindings, but I am experiencing some heel lift from the base plate. With the boots mounted on my board (2007 Shane) if I lean forward the heel of the plate will raise up about a 1/4 inch.

To try to eliminate this I used some shorter screws to make sure the screw wasn't hitting the bottom of the hole and leaving some room for flex. This isn't the case; the plates are locked down as tight as possible. It's the base plate itself that is flexing, allowing the heel to lift up.

Has anyone else experienced this with their Gonzales boots?

I don't have the bindings themselves, but I did work at a shop that dealt Gator. I think you hit the nail right on the head. I think it is because the plates are plastic and therefore not as rigid. Although one benefit of this is that they are a super light binding.
