New regulations by Coast Guard that they are boats. <BR><a href="http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/stand-up-paddleboards-classified-as-vessels-by-us-coast-guard-surf-zone-not-affected-stand-up-and-be-counted_19530/" target="_blank">http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/stand-up-paddleboards-classified-as-vessels-by-us-coast-guard-surf-zone-not-affected-stand-up-and-be-counted_19530/</a>

lol Dennis, that reminded me of when we had to "license" our surfboards in Newport Beach back in the late sixties. What a joke! an actual registration sticker was issued and we had to put them on our boards.. hahaha our government at work!

Wow thats crazy! For some reason I don't seem surprised though.

stand up paddle boards are so dangerous. they shouldn't even be allowed in surf zones where there are other people in the water. some guy hit me with one the other day. 12' board plus 12' leash plus guys who cant surf equals 24 feet of death.

That sounds like the punchline to a joke. What do you call 12 SUP riders about to enter the line up? Ok, I didn't say a GOOD joke. <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>
