Im trying to figure out what board im going to get for next season. i mostly ride cable.

Im thinking the 2009 Liquid Force PS3 137 Grindbase.

Anyone elese have any sugestions?

gunnertom4593 10-21-2008 4:03 PM

any of the boards with a grindbase would be awesome...ive ridden a lot of boards at cable and all you need is a good edge and a good ollie from the board, both of which the PS3 has. Plus its very hard to break a board with a grind base.
Dont try to use a grind base board on the wake though i hated the extra weight and bulk of the board

wakeboardingzach 10-21-2008 4:11 PM

o well its wat soven rides with behind boat so im sure ill problay like it

sidekicknicholas 10-21-2008 4:14 PM

My Slingshot is super fun on the cables...
really a tough board when dealing with the rails and the flex is a lot of fun too.

romes 10-21-2008 4:17 PM

+ for the SS for sliding anything...not a big fan of it behind the boat but its still a lot of fun.

wakeboardingzach 10-21-2008 4:19 PM

right now thats what i have... i ride the recoil 138 and i love it i might stick with them but idk i really want the soven cause it will last me awhile. and... i loved my slingshot behind boat.

wakeboardingzach 10-21-2008 4:20 PM

I really like my PS3 grind. I have the limited and its held up really well for me. Well except for a nail incident. I like the way the grind base slides. My friend really likes the witness at the cable because it gives him more control and pop with his air tricks. Next year its coming out with the grind base so it will be interesting to try both. I can't do air tricks so for kickers and sliders I like the PS3. Plus its looser with out the fins than the witness which I like out at the cable. I like a little more hold behind the boat so I'm probably going to buy the witness next year for that.

wakeviolater 10-23-2008 9:00 AM

anyone ride the 09 roam yet?

sidekicknicholas 10-23-2008 9:15 AM

I Ibex held up really well at the cables... after about 2 months of use it only had minor scratches.... slid really smooth, also without the fins you could press it really well because the ends were feature-less and flat

The Monarch was a lot of fun there too, but I only rode that for a day or two, donno how it would fair after a few weeks

jealous_soul 10-23-2008 10:15 AM

you should check out the 09 ronix boards with their new grind base as well. i'm a big fan of the witness, but i still managed to tear up a few LF grind base boards. i've heard very good things about the ronix grind base, so i'm interested to try that out.

kyle_m 10-23-2008 10:18 AM

campany wake from what ive heard will do amazing on rails

romes 10-23-2008 10:25 AM

you guys who are riding the grind basese on cable are there noticable differences behind the boat?

joshbuzz 10-23-2008 2:23 PM

Slingshot relfex! the best rail board for 09!

andy_nintzel 10-23-2008 2:28 PM

wakeboardingzach 10-27-2008 6:07 PM

dubitup20i 10-27-2008 6:26 PM

Nick,
are you serious about the ibex? mine got trashed after 1 quick slider sesh

sidekicknicholas 10-27-2008 6:31 PM

i had 2 straight weeks of use at owc and it was scratched at worst

wakeboardingzach 10-27-2008 7:49 PM

ya well dude in the summer i ride at least five or six times a week. i need a good board.

sidekicknicholas 10-27-2008 8:46 PM

I would for sure say slingshot... i know you have one now and its beat but honestly they are TOUGH. Mine has rail abuse since last Jan and its still in plenty good shape... I don't think you'll find much better.
