Do you guys think that a cable park in north florida could work?? I think that the wakeboard community in Jacksonville and surrounding area is big enough to support a cable park, but I wanted to know what the guys on wakeworld thought. Thank you in advance for any advice and/or comments.

out west may be something to look at but right now im looking out east first. then possibly trying out there too

mc_x15 09-30-2008 6:40 AM

go north, we have nothing like that up north.

jsweat 09-30-2008 6:48 AM

i am sure in the next ten years you will see cable parks popping up left and right all over the country.

zirb3l 09-30-2008 8:38 AM

No, i dont think it will work

reason: UNFAIR The midwest should get one first before florida gets a second!!!

this will be like #4 for florida.

OWC, RIXEN, TAMPA's and i thought there was one other

I think wisconsin is getting an indoor cable by late 2009/early 2010....as long as things go as scheduled

steezyshots 09-30-2008 8:52 AM

The 4th is in fort myers.

Cali needs one before North Florida, It's too cold up there in north florida in the winter

wakemastercraft 09-30-2008 9:30 AM

There are 5 cable parks in Florida... OWC, WetnWild, Fort Myers, Rixen, and Tampa

steezyshots 09-30-2008 9:32 AM

Oh yea forgot about that little one at wet n wild no sliders and no air tricks

pnichols 09-30-2008 10:06 AM

Nathan, there is one opening May 2009 in Cincinnati. I have never rode cable can't wait to give it a shot.

Is the Tampa one officially open yet?

WetnWild has one? Hahah but no sliders or airs, seems kind of pointless to not have either then.

scooby76 09-30-2008 2:35 PM

I think the one in Tampa (closest)is Open at McCormick Ski School.

jsweat 09-30-2008 3:58 PM

it doesnt get too cold in north florida winters. cali winters a way colder than north florida winters.

steezyshots 09-30-2008 4:26 PM

I don't know man i was in Jacksonville in December and it was sooooo cold!

wakesk8er2 09-30-2008 5:57 PM

i'd buy a season pass.

timmy 09-30-2008 6:34 PM

put one in north palm beach county or south martin county, so I don't have to drive all the way to deerfield beach. haha

wkbrdr 09-30-2008 6:54 PM

I think and indoor one with a retractable roof in Michigan...I just need to find a finical backer

jsweat 09-30-2008 8:15 PM

mjw that sounds like a sweet idea. and riley yea it gets cold here but not any colder than texas where tsr is or kansas where kwc is or germany where there are over 40 cable parks or in canada where there are several parks. all i wanted to know is if the community in north florida or south georgia area would be enough to make it work.
