Got a couple days to work on the kicker...total cost so far is $105. Still gotta cap the top and hit it with paint and riding surface. Dimensions are 6.5ft off the water, 6.5 ft wide and 14ft long..Enjoy...

looks solid

what wood are you putting on the sides?

nick_in_ssp 09-14-2008 3:20 PM

That thing is HUGE. Should launch you up there.

xbones 09-14-2008 4:59 PM

The side is just some wood paneling...I wanted something cheap and light and at $6 bucks a sheet I was sold. Still trying to come up with a sliding surface...can't seem to find anything in the $50-$75 range...everything seems to be > $100 (Trex, PVC sheet, Plastic sheet)...any suggestions are welcomed.

mrboston187 09-14-2008 7:13 PM

you could just use PVC pipes side by side, i dunno, ive seen it done

supraride 09-14-2008 7:43 PM

FRP at home depot. real cheap in 4 x 8 sheets

element8456 09-14-2008 8:01 PM

Looks good how you ever thought about trying to about something like a gloss top on it can think of whats it called sorry

chrishopf 09-14-2008 11:47 PM

I second FRP. Thats what I have on our kicker and wall ride and it slides and holds up great!!! Plus like tony said you can find it at most home depot or lowes stores and is only like 30 bucks.

CH

luker that thing is SICK.

blaydeman 09-15-2008 8:10 AM

shower board sounds like FRP but i paid $12 a sheet for it and i use it for my white board.

bcrider 09-15-2008 9:16 AM

That's going to launch you up for sure.

xbones 09-15-2008 5:37 PM

I'm pretty stoked, I plan on getting extensively booted...the FRP is $29 a sheet, x4 sheets is $120. I'm thinkin' getting under $100 isn't going to be possible so I may go with the FRP regardless.

Anyway, I'll be back in town to finish up the weekend after next and I'll throw some pics up of the finished product and hopefully some first day steez ;)

mike_t 09-15-2008 5:42 PM

Man, I must be getting old, I look at that and think...CERTAIN DEATH! Damn, that looks fun.

dustin_w 09-15-2008 5:43 PM

Looks good! My only suggestion would be to triangulate the front square. Post some pics when it is done!

knarbar 09-15-2008 5:46 PM

You can also buy sheets of plexy glass but it gets expensive.

den10brown 09-19-2008 6:13 PM
