that rainbow rail looks LEGIT...there's so many sick looking lines in that configuration both up and back...super sick

I am confused about how many obstacles they will be able to hit in a pass. <BR> <BR>It looks like if they hit the wall ride bostacle then they are going to miss everything else. Why did they not make all the obstacles in a strait line so the athletes could hit more stuff?? <BR> <BR>I hope there will be some video of this event somewhere.

The cable then can be ridden continuously back and forth until the rider falls. <BR> <BR>This is a high level explanation from what I have been told by one of the guys who works with the German company who invented it. I am no expert and hope I explained it correctly (sorry if not). It’s also featured in a recent wakeboarding mag edition. <BR> <BR>It will change rail contests moving forward big time. Think of the downtime we see today due to the winch having to be carried back after each run...with this new system you can hit rails nonstop all day long! How cool is that...

They used the Sesitec at wakestock this year, it was pretty sweet. <BR> <BR>They basically set up two temporary towers at each end, the rider takes up hits the rail, when its almost at the end it just simply revereses itself so the rides just needs to take a big wide cut at the end so he can turn around and voila! <BR> <BR>What Im curious about is, that area looks much wider than what was setup at wakestock, so unless the sesitec wire is higher up in the air then it was at wakestock and the rope handle is longer it would makes sense, but not sure how they will cover all that area on one strait line

How much do these systems run? I have a pond with some sweet rails that I would be interested in setting one up in.. MY pass is about 1000 ft and walking the winch rope back gets old real fast!! I wonder if that would be too long for it? <BR> <BR>CH

they run at about $30,000 and the two towers can be 700ft apart...

Your lucky that The City let them in on the lake in the first place, Plus they have to color the water to make it look halfway normal.

The way I understand it, the riders contacted Red Bull to sponsor the event. They wanted to use the Sesitec portable cable system with some killer sliders to put it to the test.

I saw the wake lab booth at expo but never had the time to see what it was about. Wow that's awesome.I hate I missed it all,we had to leave Sat. afternoon.

Sunday morning I went back to Surf Expo to talk to the people at the Sesitec booth. They said if I had more questions, there would be someone at the Red Bull sight. When I got there, Rusty, Shaun Murrey, Shawn Watson, Dallas and a few others were spending more time on it. The whole thing is pretty simple. The motor runs off of 220VAC three phase. They had a diesle powered generator supplying power. There is a small control box with a few special function buttons and a control knob for speed. I was told that the production version would have a display and some other features. It was pretty cool watching these guys go at it with no one else around!
