Got a buddy towing an Avy with his. No real issues...we are flatlanders though.

The Tacoma should be just fine. I have a friend that pulls his Typhoon with an FJ Cruiser.

We pull our Avy with a Montero V6 but work the gears with autostick. Flatlanders too.

We upgraded our suspension to HD so no sag in the rear. Brakes are what you need to make sure about.
