...that even though my 2002 Centurion supposedly has a new impeller, having sat for two years has botched it and needs to be replaced? Anyone ever experience this? I think that my bad experience at the lake yesterday can be chalked up to the boat sitting for too long.

yes.. possibly dried out... i would never take someones word as bond especially over that time frame.
