- - Will heater hose burn my speaker wires? (http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=565428)

I am in the process of installing a 2-outlet heater in my boat and I am almost finished. I was running the heater hose that runs from the engine ('97 SS, V-drive) to the heater core, which is located under the dash. The only place I can run the hose is under the gunnel along the starboard side of the boat. The problem I am having is that I have a bunch of wire running in that same spot and I didn't know if the heater hose would burn that wiring.

The hose is touching the wiring how I have it run right now. Is this ok? If not, then where should I run the hose? Thanks for any help!

it will not burn the wire at all. some might say it could warm the wire and add unwanted heat but i doubt it is enough to make a difference. you could always insulate were the wire with a loom of some sort if you were really worried about it but i dont think it is really needed. but to answer your ?? no it will not melt the wire.
