I tried doing a search on here and at supra's website but couldn't find the info so I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have a 2005 Supra 22ssv with the Rad A Cage tower (thick tubing). Does any one know the exact width of the tubing as I'm looking at getting extra board racks?

Thanks

My 2005 Moomba outback LSV measures 1.70" with a micrometer. I suggest you check your own tower because I was told 2 3/8" when my boat was in storage and I ordered a tower mirror which I had to send back!

I'm not sure who told you there was a 2 3/8" tower on an outback. They never have had the beefy towers that the late model (06-08) LS and LSV's have had.

There are only 2 sizes for the main towers on Supras and Moombas. The old style smaller tubing is 1 5/8". The new thicker styles are 2 3/8". However, the cross bar in the 2 3/8" towers is 1 7/8".

McFly
http://waterskiboatsdallas.blogspot.com

Thanks you guys for the info.

Phil, I saw your post on Supra's and knew you were referring to a 03, and after looking at my friends 02 (same tower), realized it was much thinner then the 05's.

Marty, can you explain exactly which Cross bar you're referring to as I'm looking to add the racks above the stock ones. However, I have a bimini design that folds from the back to the front and completely over the top of the tower. Any suggestions is appreciated as I want to make sure it all fits properly.

I believe that year model tower is 1.5" ID / 1 7/8" OD. If you'd like specifics about it, Ryan, feel free to give me a call on Monday when I'm back in the office.

Cody
XTP
865-981-9898

Thanks Cody, I'll be back in the country on Monday. And if necessary, will give you a call. Thanks for the feedback.

Are you sure it's 1.5" or 1 7/8"? That seems really small for the tube size I have. I know that the towers that came on earlier Supra's were thinner but the newer one's are really thick.

Thanks

Ryan,

I'm trying to remember back to '03 parts and I believe 1.5" ID with 1 7/8" oval crossmembers is correct. You're correct as far as the current models go, we use 2" ID / 2 3/8" OD on most of their current towers.

Cody
XTP
