We rode on lake stevens on Saturday afternoon... the sun was out, beautiful day!

polarbill 02-12-2008 8:52 AM

Cliff, stop by the house on saturday. If you have room I would be interested if I don't get roped into a bunch of other stuff.

bailey 02-13-2008 7:05 PM

It is supposed to be really nice this weekend. Cliff is the only person I can think of who is crazy enough to throw himself into that water. I hope the nautique has a hot water shower. If you need someone to spot let me know but I don't think I will be riding until it gets a bit warmer.

davidr 02-13-2008 9:22 PM

Cliff, sent you a e-mail.

seattle 02-14-2008 7:51 AM

polarbill 02-14-2008 9:11 AM

today has been the best day so far. Not even a stitch of wind. I think the worst thing that screwed up the glass was a couple of duck wakes. Damn inconsiderate B@st@rds.

davidr 02-14-2008 9:41 AM

Cliff, sent you another e-mail. Thanks for getting back to me. Hope we can work something out. later dr

bailey 02-15-2008 11:57 AM

It looks like friday may get rained out but I want to see some pictures from saturday. What is the water temp right now anyway?

polarbill 02-15-2008 1:02 PM

COLD. I jumped in last weekend after being in our hot tub and it sucked the breath out of my lungs.

seattle 02-15-2008 2:44 PM

Wussies

Water temp is sitting at a balmy 43 degrees.

I rode today, and it was awesome. Going again tomorrow, if your interested Brett / Robert.

jjakober 02-15-2008 2:57 PM

Cliff,

I know I sound like a broken record, but YOU SUCK

Must be nice, all our lakes have at least a foot of ice on them!

seattle 02-15-2008 4:26 PM

Riding the Valhalla tomorrow.

polarbill 02-15-2008 4:34 PM

Cliff, what time you heading out. I have a few things to do, but may be able to get a run in.

PM sent.

dlamont 02-15-2008 4:53 PM

Sorry I missed you guys out there. But my buddies woke up with their dresses on, so we didn't ride this morning.
Have fun tomorrow. I have a demo scheduled at 11am, maybe I will see you.

bailey 02-15-2008 5:20 PM

I am itching to try that new board of yours cliff but I think low 40s is a little too cold for my wussyness.

solo 02-15-2008 5:54 PM

You guys are crazy!

noti_dad 02-15-2008 7:21 PM

Yes he is. Something's not right with that boy. Troy and him each put in a set in 42 water and 48 air. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. They had an entire lake of glass to themselves.

jjakober 02-15-2008 10:01 PM

Now Troy and Cliff SUCK

ghostrider_2 02-16-2008 12:49 AM

Jakober I'm with you on this, Cliff you suck!

bailey 02-17-2008 12:16 PM

Looks like you guys should have waited until sunday. It is pretty freakin sweet out there right now. It doesn't even look that cold if you don't look at the frost on the roofs.
How was the new board Cliff?

krazywake 02-17-2008 12:39 PM

This thread is making me home sick. I miss lake sammamish! So do you guys actually toss on the dry suits and board this time of year up there? I grew up in Redmond but have been stuck in the desert for the last 11 years and miss seeing waterfront property and the color green.

bbking 02-17-2008 12:59 PM

Wow, I'd hate to be Brett Yates... have a lake house and all but water you can't ride... Hell at least you have a lake house !

seattle 02-17-2008 4:42 PM

Went out today, and it was fricken awesome. We were the only boat on the north end for over three hours.

Robert,

Your gonna like the valhalla. It's lose, very fast, and has great controlled pop. It's looser than the Cartel, and faster, but the pop is much more like Natural's. I liked it well enough that I'm going to move it to my #1 board for awhile.

jjakober 02-17-2008 5:17 PM

Cliff,

Nice! I am glade you like the Valhalla. I haven't ridden the 08 version with the Delta V bottom. It sounds like it really helped speed the board up. You didn't ride it with any bolt on fins did you(center or crook)?

jjakober

bailey 02-17-2008 5:32 PM

I saw your boat out there this afternoon Cliff. It looked pretty darn sweet out there. I was tempted to give you a call and try to get a ride but I think I am going to wait until the water is a little closer to 50. Sounds like that board is pretty sweet. Did you ride it with fins or without?

solo 02-17-2008 7:59 PM

believe it or not I rode today in 45 degree water. Reminded me of riding back home.

seattle 02-17-2008 9:38 PM

No fins or crooks totally finless.

noti_dad 02-17-2008 9:43 PM

Hahn - ha ha ha ha ha ha!riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

solo 02-18-2008 9:00 AM

Seriously, it snowed last weekend up at lake Bartlett. Water temp was 45 air 68. Doesn't make me want to move back to the PNW.

bailey 02-18-2008 10:59 AM

Cliff you hated the cartel without the bolt on fins, how is it the valhalla is looser but you like it?

seattle 02-18-2008 11:21 AM

Valhalla has the molded in fins much further out towards the edge of the board.

Notice how the fins are much larger on the inside than on the outside.

It's hard to explain, but the Valhalla is really loose when you want it to be but when you put it on edge it's very predictable and controlled.

Hahn,

You know your a cute little asian polar bear at heart. You may have left Seattle, but Seattle will never leave you.

seattle 02-18-2008 11:30 AM

If I wasn't so friggen sore today, I'd be out there again.

hatepain 02-18-2008 2:26 PM

Five of us went out on Goodwin yesterday (Sunday) the water was a nice cool 38-40 depending on the depth. We were wakesurfing but still at least we got out.
